Abstract:
The invention provides an intermediate screen for a signal light, the screen being of the type constituted by a plate for passing a flux of light, and including a set of light-deflecting grooves on at least one of its faces, the grooves being essentially concentric and each being defined by two faces of essentially rectilinear profile and of given angles of inclination relative to the normal to the plate. For at least one subset of adjacent grooves, the angles of inclination of the faces defining each groove vary from one groove to another and are such that the sum of said angles is constant.
Abstract:
An electrical module, in particular for a block of signalling lights for a motor vehicle, comprises, in combination: a lamp-carrier implementing a plurality of recesses used as sockets for lamps; an electronic circuit for processing a control and switching signal to selectively switch on and switch off lamps received in the sockets as a function of instructions contained in the control signal; a printed circuit carrying said electronic circuit; electrical power link means between the electronic circuit and the sockets; and means for associating the lamp-carrier with the printed circuit and for establishing an electrical connection between said printed circuit and the electrical power link means.
Abstract:
An indicating light unit for a motor vehicle has a support plate, an optic extending along the support plate, and a plurality of elementary luminous modules each comprising a light emitting diode. Each module comprises at least one light emitting diode mounted on a frame and covered with a cover element, the modules being juxtaposed to each other in predetermined positions on the support plate and being connected electrically to a common electrical supply source. The unit is of low thickness and gives a homogeneous light field.
Abstract:
A support element for an indicating display for a motor vehicle carries a multiple component electronic circuit. The support element comprises a plurality of fingers or thongs which are separated from each other by slots, with a plurality of the components of the electronic circuit being mounted on each finger. The support element is made by cutting so as to produce the fingers joined to at least one root portion of the support element.
Abstract:
A system for controlling a set of electrical devices, e.g. in a motor vehicle, having a decoding module for a group of such devices, the decoding module receiving an electrical signal containing instructions to switch on and to switch off the electrical devices in the group and delivering control signals on the basis of those instructions, and a set of switches controlled by the control signals and each connected between a common electrical power line and a respective electrical device in the group. The controlled switches are mounted in the immediate vicinity of the corresponding electrical devices of the group, and the decoding module is housed in a housing which is separate from the controlled switches.
Abstract:
A lighting and/or indicating apparatus for a motor vehicle, of the type comprising an external light transmitting element and a base arranged behind the latter, typically consists of a lighting and indicating cluster. The light transmitting element comprises an outer panel, the base comprises an inner wall, and the two walls together constitute a thin gas-tight envelope and define at least one closed cavity. This cavity, or each cavity, contains two electrodes and a suitable gas under low pressure, the apparatus having means for applying voltage for starting and maintaining a luminescent gas discharge in the cavity, so that the envelope itself constitutes at least one light of the gas discharge type. The appearance and light output are improved, and the light beams emitted are highly homogeneous.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a lighting device for lighting the cabin of a motor vehicle, the device comprising an elongate light source disposed inside a housing. According to the invention, the lighting device further comprises: two windows transparent to the light flux emitted by the source, the windows being spaced apart from each other and comprising a top window through which light radiation is emitted in a generally horizontal direction, and a bottom window through which light radiation is emitted generally downwards; a first directional light reflector disposed between two respective first edges of the windows; and a second directional light reflector disposed between the two respective other edges of the windows; the directional light reflectors having shapes that combine to guide the light flux emitted by the source towards the transparent windows.
Abstract:
An indicator light unit for a motor vehicle comprises a support element, at least one cover element, and at least one light emitting diode (LED), having a body, arranged between the support element and the cover element. The light unit comprises at least one elementary module having a frame, carrying at least one LED, the cover element being fixed to the frame. The frame comprises: an aperture associated with each LED for passage of the light emitted by the LED, each of the latter being located in line with a corresponding one of these apertures, the cover element or elements being in facing relationship with these apertures; and means for fixing the module on the support element.
