Abstract: A tissue scaffold for use in a tendon and/or ligament is provided, which includes a weave formed by interlacing warp yarns and weft yarns, wherein the warp yarns include a plurality of fibers with an alternative shaped cross section structure, and the weave includes: a main body area with a bioactive component formed on the fiber surface, and a fixed area comprises the weft yarn having a bioceramic material. The tissue scaffold prepared in the present disclosure has the characteristics of stimulating the growth of tissues and inducing tissue repair, effectively improving the ability of tissue regeneration and bone healing, and is beneficial to the reconstruction of the tendon and/or ligament.

Abstract: A low-profile offset-type spinal fusion device includes a first screw, a connection base, a nut and a compression part. The first screw has an external thread and a flange. The connection base includes a penetration part and a connection part disposed no higher than the penetration part, and can sleeve the first screw through a first hole of the penetration part to contact the flange with opposite ends of the first screw protruding out of the first hole. The nut, used to engage the first screw, has a bottom surface to contact against the penetration part. When the first screw is installed by penetrating the first hole, the nut and the flange are located to opposite ends of the first hole. The compression part is to screw into a cavity of the connection part for depressing a connecting bar tightly in the cavity.

Abstract: A minimally invasive surgical device includes a main body, a buffer assembly and a cutter bit. The main body includes an inner tube and an outer tube, wherein the inner tube is disposed in the outer tube. An end of the buffer assembly is connected to the inner tube. The cutter bit is connected to another end of the buffer assembly, wherein the cutter bit has a cutting portion. When the cutting portion is in contact with an object, the buffer assembly is adapted to enable the cutter bit to move relatively to the inner tube to decrease a cutting force between the cutting portion and the object, and is adapted to enable the cutting portion to be tilted with a surface of the object.

Abstract: A method for ex vivo treating blood or plasma is provided. The method includes (a) ex vivo contacting a blood or plasma with an enzyme composition to react the enzyme composition with the blood or plasma, wherein the enzyme composition is capable of eliminating electronegative low-density lipoprotein from the blood or plasma by the activity of the enzyme composition, and the enzyme composition is selected from a group consisting of: a first enzyme for eliminating a glycan residue of an electronegative low-density lipoprotein (LDL); a second enzyme for eliminating ceramide carried by a electronegative low-density lipoprotein (LDL); and a combination thereof; and (b) terminating contact between the blood or plasma and the enzyme composition to terminate the reaction of the enzyme composition with the blood or plasma.

Abstract: An implanting device is used for implanting a membrane in a biological tissue. The implanting device includes a sleeve, a membrane storage element, an injection element and a bubble generating element. The membrane storage element is fixed at the sleeve. The injection element is inserted in the sleeve and the membrane storage element, and includes a capturing end and connecting end. The capturing end is for capturing the membrane and has a hole. The bubble generating element is connected to the connecting end, and is for providing a gas that is then outputted via the hole. By the rotation of the injection element, the capturing end extends straight out of the membrane storage element or retracts straight into the membrane storage element.
