Abstract: The present disclosure relates to processes and systems that convert biomass to stable intermediate hydrocarbon products that having a greatly decreased oxygen content. This stabilized intermediate hydrocarbon product may be easily be stored for an extended period of time, further refined into liquid transportation fuels (either alone or mixed with petroleum-derived hydrocarbons), or blended with petroleum-derived blendstocks to produce a finished liquid transportation fuel.

Abstract: Integrating a biomass pyrolysis and upgrading process into a fluid catalytic cracking unit. The process uses conventional FCC feed and a mixture of a solvent and biomass to produce upgraded fuel products. A slurry stream composed of solid biomass particles and a solvent is fed into an FCC riser through a slurry pump to achieve biomass pyrolysis and in situ pyrolysis oil upgrading. The catalytic cracking of the conventional petroleum feed also occurs in the riser.

Abstract: Various embodiments of a process for converting light alkanes to diesel are disclosed. In general, the process includes reacting a feed rich in one or more light alkanes with an aromatization catalyst to convert the light alkanes to aromatic hydrocarbons, reacting the aromatic hydrocarbons with a hydroalkylation catalyst to convert the aromatic hydrocarbons into diesel range hydrocarbons, and hydrogenating the diesel range hydrocarbons to produce a diesel product.
