Abstract: The present disclosure relates to vehicle teleoperation and systems and methods for an autonomous-ready vehicle. As an example, the described aspects may provide a variety of functionality, including the use of a teleoperation assembly to provide a third-person perspective for vehicle teleoperation, vehicle width fit checking for a set of obstacles and an associated clearance, semi-autonomous clearance navigation, dynamic vehicle standoff adjustment according to a communication latency associated with teleoperation, vehicle contents change detection and notification generation, path navigation with increased granularity based on ground-engaging member paths, autonomous anchoring for increased traction, vehicle configuration according to a determined three-dimensional center of mass, automatic rocking for improved terrain traversal, audio-aware path generation and vehicle routing, and annunciation of vehicle modes to nearby individuals.

Abstract: A vehicle is disclosed. The vehicle may comprise a plurality of ground engaging members, and a frame supported by the plurality of ground engaging members. The frame may include an operator area having a platform sized and shaped to provide a location for a standing operator and at least one upstanding frame member rearward of the operator area. The vehicle may further comprise a steering input operatively coupled to at least one of the plurality of ground engaging members to steer the vehicle; and at least one communication device supported by the at least one upstanding frame member rearward of the operator area, the at least one communication member being positioned higher than the steering input.

Abstract: Techniques for automatic control of a vehicle are disclosed. The vehicle may include a removable input device having various modes of operation. For example, a coupled mode of operation may control the vehicle when an operator is in an operator area of the vehicle, while a remote mode of operation may enable vehicle control when the operator is outside of the operator area. The vehicle may include object sensors to detect a target such as the removable input device or an operator device. Accordingly, the vehicle may automatically follow the target. The vehicle may also identify obstacles, in response to which manual control of the vehicle may at least temporarily be provided to the operator, after which automatic control may resume.
