Abstract:
A patterned magnetic recording medium, accessible by a magnetic recording head, including a plurality of tracks, a width direction of each track and that of the magnetic recording head being of a skew angle. The patterned magnetic recording medium includes a plurality of magnetic dots, each corresponding to a recording bit, formed on a non-magnetic material. The plurality of magnetic dots are arranged in a plurality of arrays, each array corresponding to one of the tracks. Every N adjacent magnetic dots of the array define a polygon, one side thereof being parallel to the corresponding track, and another side thereof being parallel to a direction corresponding to the skew angle of the corresponding track.

A connector for an IC card is provided which has a reduced height and in which self-correction is possible. The connector includes a plurality of cantilever contacts electrically connected to an IC card, each including a stationary arm and a resilient arm having a tip formed with a contact point. The connector also includes a housing holding the contacts and integrally formed with the stationary arm so that the contact point projects from one surface of the housing. The resilient arms are bendably arranged in parallel and are slidable with respect to the IC card inserted from any one of the first and second insertion directions.
Abstract:
Provided is an optical element in which a groove for a sample to make contact can be formed without machining or etching a material for an optical element, and in which the scattering of a light at the groove does not decrease the precision in an optical measurement. The optical element is formed with a light-emitting prism including a light-output face from which a light to be emitted to a sample is outputted, a light-receiving prism including a light-receiving face which receives the light returned from the sample, and a light intensity-reducing part provided between the light-emitting prism and the light-receiving prism. The light-emitting prism and the light-receiving prism are combined to form a recessed part for the sample to make contact, so that the light outputted from the light-output face travels straight in the sample in contact with the recessed part and enters the light-receiving face.
Abstract:
In a connector housing (2), resinous guide walls (4,5) that slide and guide a card holder (3) are erected on both sides in a width direction (B) perpendicular to a direction (A) in which the card holder (3) holding a memory card (C) is inserted. The metallic guide walls (4,5) are provided with metallic reinforcement tabs (6,7) molded integrally with the guide walls (4,5) simultaneously. The metallic reinforcement tabs (6,7) can give rigidity and elasticity to the resinous guide walls (4,5). Therefore, after the card holder (3) is inserted, the card holder (3) inserted therein can be stably held so as not to easily slip off.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a crawler in which, due to alteration of a shape of rubber projections which mesh with a sprocket, even when earth, sand and the like has been deposited at an inner peripheral surface of the crawler, damage to the concerned rubber projections will not be incurred. It is a core-less crawler track at an inner peripheral surface of which rubber projections for driving are formed with a certain pitch. In side view, the rubber projections form a substantially triangular shape provided with a drive side inclination surface Pa and a brake side inclination surface Pb. The inclination surfaces of this rubber projection are divided into the drive side inclination surface Pa and the brake side inclination surface Pb. Steps D are formed at both the inclination surfaces. Base side (bottom step) inclination angles X are set with an inclination angle XB of a brake side inclination surface Pba larger than an inclination angle XA of a drive side inclination surface Paa, and top side (top step) inclination angles Y are set with an inclination angle YA of a drive side inclination surface Pab larger than an inclination angle YB of a brake side inclination surface Pbb.

Abstract:
A connecting structure is for a printed wiring board to be electrically connected to a FPC. The FPC includes a substrate and electro-conductive portions. The printed wiring board includes an insertion opening provided on an edge surface thereof, and line connecting terminals formed on an inner wall face of the insertion opening. A dual in-line contact member including first contact members is fixed to the top end portion of the FPC. Each first contact member includes a main body, and a first arm and a second arm extending from the main body generally in parallel to each other. Furthermore, the first arm and the second arm are bent at bent portions so as to form curves protruding away from each other. With the present embodiment, at least one of the first arm and the second arm press the corresponding line connecting terminal provided within the insertion opening at the bent portion thereof by inserting the FPC to the insertion opening of the printed wiring board. Thus, the FPC is connected to the edge surface of the printed wiring board. This improves the freedom from the perspective of design of the wiring pattern as well as allowing mounting of circuit components with high circuit density.
