Abstract: An evaluation apparatus evaluates the relationship between multiple subjects in communication between the subjects. A non-verbal information measurement unit measures non-verbal information respectively obtained for the multiple subjects, and quantifies the non-verbal information so as to generate first signals each configured as a time-series signal. A waveform analyzing unit generates second signals for the respective subjects, each configured as a value that relates to a feature configured as non-verbal information rhythm with respect to the corresponding one of the subjects. A relationship evaluation unit generates a third signal configured as an index that represents a mental state with respect to the relationship between the multiple subjects, based on a relative relationship between the multiple second signals that correspond to the respective subjects.

Abstract: A walking support apparatus supports the walking movement of a walking person. The walking person may be an elderly person, a disabled person, an invalid, an athlete, a learner, or the like. A measurement unit measures walking information with respect to the walking person, and generates data that represents the walking information. An attachment applies an action to the arm of the walking person according to the walking information data measured by the measurement unit. Such an arrangement provides improved walking movement via the effect on the arm movement when the walking person is walking.

Abstract: A display apparatus and control method thereof are provided. The display apparatus includes: a processor configured to process image data of image contents; a display configured to display the image data processed by the processor as an image; a user interface configured to sense a reaction of a user to the image displayed by the display; and a controller configured to determine a preference of the user for the image contents based on the reaction sensed by the user interface. The controller is configured to determine the preference based on an accumulated value of each reaction among a plurality of kinds of reactions generated while the image is displayed and a weight set up corresponding to the reaction. The weight corresponding to the reaction is set up according to genres of the image contents.
