Abstract:
The present invention provides, among other things, compositions with at least one dry-erase characteristic and methods thereof. In some embodiments, provided paint composition comprising a resin part comprising an epoxy, a polysiloxane and an organooxysilane; and a cure part comprising one or more amino-silanes; the resin part and the cure part being designed and selected such that, when combined together, they cure to form a clear surface coating that demonstrates at least one dry-erase characteristic, wherein the composition is substantially free of any opacifying agent or pigment.

Abstract:
Siloxane-based coatings for providing writable-erasable surfaces are provided. The coatings have many desirable characteristics and advantages over known coatings for writable-erasable surfaces. For example, the coatings cure rapidly under ambient conditions, have low VOC emissions upon curing, and have reduced tendency to form ghost images, even after prolonged normal use.
Abstract:
An improved chalkboard marking surface comprises a rollable, flexible sheet of polypropylene having two sides that are opposite one another, each having a generally flat surface. On one side, a layer of adhesive is applied to the polypropylene substrate. On the same side of the polypropylene substrate, a selectively removable release sheet is preferably applied to the layer of adhesive for the purpose of keeping foreign materials from attaching to the adhesive when the chalkboard surface is not in use. On the reverse side of the polypropylene substrate, a layer of ink is applied which forms an abrasive surface after it dries, and importantly, results in a chalkboard surface that is lighter in weight.
Abstract:
Writable-erasable surfaces prepared by a powder coating process are provided. The coatings have many desirable attributes. For example, the coatings (e.g., powder compositions) cure rapidly at elevated temperatures or under radiation, have low VOC emissions, and have reduced tendency to form ghost images, even after prolonged and repeated normal use.
Abstract:
Interactive visual communication panel (1), such as among others a board that can be written on with felt-tip pens or a chalkboard that can be written on with chalk, characterised in that it is provided with an vitreous enamel layer (5) on the front (3) of the communication panel (1) on which is provided an optically readable position-encoding pattern (6) for creating an electronic representation of the information that is written on the front (3), which position-encoding pattern (6) is built of a ceramic print that has been fired on the layer of enamel (5) at temperatures higher than 500° C.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a display board assembly including a display board having a dry-erase surface, a recess in the dry-erase surface of the display board, and a support member removably received at least partially within the recess and defining at least one receptacle configured to receive at least one of a dry-erase marker and an eraser.
Abstract:
A writing board support tray comprises a support tray having an end portion coated with an elastomeric material with the support tray and the elastomeric material being substantially inseparably bonded or attached to each other. Further, a writing board support tray comprises a support tray substantially completely coated with an elastomeric material with the support tray and the elastomeric material being substantially inseparably bonded or attached to each other. Additionally, a further preferred embodiment, a writing board support tray comprises a support tray with a front end substantially completely coated with an elastomeric material with the support tray and the elastomeric material being substantially inseparably bonded or attached to each other. In addition, a writing board comprising a writing surface and a support tray, wherein the peripheral edge of the writing surface is encapsulated by an elastomeric material and the support tray is constructed completely out of the elastomeric material.
