Abstract: An information handling system includes first and second power supplies, a chassis BMC, and a sled. The power supplies each assert a power good indication when the power supply is providing power on a power rail. The chassis BMC receives the power good indications and asserts a loss of redundancy indication when one of the power good indications is deasserted. The sled includes a sled BMC and a host processing system. The sled receives the loss of redundancy indication and in response, asserts a processor over temperature indication to the host processing system. When both power good indications are asserted, the chassis BMC directs the sled BMC to operate the host processing system in accordance with a normal operation sled current limit. When one of the power good indications is deasserted, the chassis BMC directs the sled BMC to operate the host processing system in accordance with a reduced power operation sled current limit. The reduced power operation sled current limit is a lower limit than the normal operation sled current limit.

Abstract: A biometrics hub may establish a session with a first biometric device, receive first biometric data of a user from the first biometric device, establish a session with a second biometric device, receive second biometric data of the user from the second biometric device, and store the first biometric data and the second biometric data at the biometrics hub. The biometrics hub may further detect a power event associated with at least one of the first biometric device or the second biometric device, and change, in response to detecting the power event, a schedule for processing at least one of the first biometric data or the second biometric data.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and software for data storage systems are provided herein. In one example, a data storage apparatus is provided. The data storage apparatus includes a plurality of storage drives each comprising a drive Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) interface. A PCIe switch circuit is coupled to the drive PCIe interfaces of the plurality of storage drives, and the PCIe switch comprises at least two host PCIe interfaces shared among the plurality of storage drives. The PCIe switch circuit is configured to receive storage operations transferred by more than one host system over the at least two host PCIe interfaces, and transfer the storage operations for delivery to selected ones of the plurality of storage drives.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a plurality of power distribution control output channels operatively coupled to at least one power source, and comprising an access control input from an access control device, and a control output for a controlled device. A controller receives an access control input signal for each power distribution control output channel and provides a control signal to each power distribution control output channel such that each power distribution control output channel provides a control output signal according to requirements of a corresponding controlled device. The controller can individually isolate one or more power distribution control output channels from the at least one power source such that the control output signal is removed from the corresponding controlled device, while any other power distribution control output channels coupled to the same power source continues to operate without interruption.

The data storage assembly includes a PCIe switch circuit coupled to the PCIe host interfaces of the storage drives and configured to receive the storage operations issued by a plurality of host systems over a shared PCIe interface and transfer the storage operations for delivery to the storage drives over selected ones of the PCIe host interfaces. The data storage assembly includes holdup circuitry configured to provide power to at least the storage drives after input power is lost to the data storage assembly.

Abstract: A system for performing computing operations in a data center includes one or more sets of computer systems, one or more primary power systems, and a reserve power system. The primary power systems include a downstream portion that supplies power to at least one of the sets of computer systems. The reserve power system includes switches that switch between supplying a primary power feed and a reserve power feed from the reserve power system through part of the primary power system. An input resiliency switch can switch between supplying primary power or reserve power to support power supplied to the sets of computer systems through the primary power system based upon a primary power feed fault. A power distribution switch can switch between supplying primary power and reserve power to part of the downstream portion of the primary power system to bypass an upstream portion of the primary power system.

Abstract: When a data backup apparatus is powered on, a quantity of dead blocks and a quantity of live blocks are counted. After the data backup apparatus is powered off, a proportion occupied by dead blocks corresponding to each sequence access identifier at the power-on time point in a total quantity of sampled cache blocks corresponding to the sequence access identifier, is calculated according to the counted quantities of dead blocks and live blocks that correspond to the sequence access identifier at the time point when the data backup apparatus is powered on. The calculated proportion is compared with a preset threshold, and a dead block in a volatile memory unit is predicted according to a comparison result. During backup, a cache block that is predicted to be a dead block is not backed up.
