A fuel feed system of an engine is provided with a gas-fuel separating unit for separating oil mist generated in an engine case from air with a labyrinth, and an auto fuel cock is operated by pressure pulsation of the air from which the oil mist is separated by the gas-liquid separating unit. Thus, infiltration of the oil mist into the auto fuel cock is suppressed to the minimum, and a malfunction of the auto fuel cock caused by accumulation of the oil can be prevented. Additionally, a breather passage for feeding the air, from which the oil mist is separated by the gas-liquid separating unit, to a breathing unit is connected the auto fuel cock via a negative pressure tube. Thus, it is unnecessary to provide a specific passage for transmitting the pressure pulsation of the air in the engine case to the auto fuel cock.

Described is an animal containment system for containing an animal within a boundary, for maximizing the animal's usable area within the boundary, for not discouraging the animal from returning to within the boundary in the event the animal moves beyond the boundary, and for doing so without utilizing an independent polarity indicator. The animal containment system determines whether the animal is within the boundary or beyond the boundary by considering the polarity of an activation signal the animal containment system transmits from the boundary and receives at the location of the animal. The animal containment system determines the polarity of the activation signal by modulating the signal such that the modulation indicates the polarity of the activation signal. The animal containment system achieves the above-discussed features by delivering a stimulus to the animal only when it traverses the boundary from within the boundary.

The attitude of a submerged array of sensing elements can be changed using a fixed quantity of transferable ballast fluid having density different than water. In one embodiment, a non-rigid array of sensor elements is equipped with two expandable reservoirs connected between a flexible conduit which allows the ballast fluid to be transferred back and forth. Pumping fluid between the two reservoirs causes one reservoir to expand while the other contracts. Due to the density difference between the pumped fluid and water, the difference in volume between the two expandable reservoirs causes a shift in the center of buoyancy of the array system. The center of buoyancy in this way becomes offset from the center of gravity of the array system, causing a shift in the attitude of the array. The array can be trimmed, using positively or negatively buoyant static elements, to achieve a specific orientation for given volume ratios between the two expandable reservoirs, and so by controlling the volume ratio, multiple orientations can be selected.

Disclosed herein is a method for generating “clean” electricity from carbonaceous material, and producing high-pressure CO2 which can be easily sequestered or utilized for a beneficial purpose, such as fuel production. This method utilizes a reformation process that reforms carbonaceous fuel with superheated steam into a high-pressure gaseous mixture that is rich in carbon dioxide and hydrogen gas. This high-pressure gas exchanges excess heat with the incoming steam from a boiler. Once cooled, the high-pressure gas goes through a CO2 separator, after which the CO2-rich gas is sequestered underground or beneficially re-used. The remaining hydrogen-rich gas is used to generate power in a power generation subsystem, such as a gas turbine or a fuel cell. Therefore, carbon-free power is produced from coal, biomass, natural gas, or another carbon-based feedstock.

A removable shoe heel assembly that allows removal of a woman's shoe or boot heel, preferably a circular shaped housing unit configured to the underside of a woman's shoe or boot shank having a gravity lock to prevent movement when the removable shoe heel is attached. The gravity lock settles into a first furrow disposed in the housing unit and falls into a second furrow disposed in the removable shoe heel when turned upright, in a vertical position, both parts having a connecting means and a receiving means, respectively. By turning the woman's shoe or boot upside down the gravity lock falls into the first furrow area thereby making removal and reattachment of the removable shoe heel possible.

A razor is provided with a blade member 3 having a base and a blade body 4 on the base, a blade base member 5 arranged on the bottom side of the razor head 2, and a top member 6 arranged on the top side of the razor head 2. The blade member 3 is fitted between the blade base member 5 and the top member 6. The base is supported on the blade base member 5. A cutting edge 4a of the blade body 4 is exposed at the top member 6. The base is elastically supported by the leaf spring so as to move integrally against a pressing force from the skin surface when the blade body is caused to contact the skin surface. A contact pressure of the blade body 4 on the skin surface is restricted, thereby improving the shaving performance. Further, since a single-component blade member 3 having the blade body 4 on the base is fitted between the blade base member 5 and the top member 6, this simplifies the structure for elastically supporting the blade body 4 and allowing the blade body 4 to move.

In an electronic component placement method in which electronic components are picked up from a plurality of component supply sections which supply electronic components using a plurality of mounting heads which are provided corresponding to the respective component supply sections, and the electronic components are transferred and mounted on a substrate in a same placing stage, in performing the component transferring and mounting operations, head interference areas which constitute exclusive operating regions to which only the specified mounting heads are allowed to access are set for every placing turn. Due to such a constitution, in the component placement operation, it is possible to rationally set the accessible region without causing the interference of one mounting head with another mounting head thus shortening a placing tact time by excluding wasteful standby times of the mounting heads.

Diorama made from a two-dimensional image having a background panel in which a background section of the image appears and a plurality of additional panels on which additional sections of the image appear. The additional panels extend forwardly from the background panel, with edges of adjacent ones of the panels coming together and the image flowing continuously between the panels. The two-dimensional image is transformed into a diorama by constructing a three-dimensional model of the diorama in the form of a plurality of panels on which different areas of the image will appear, converting the three-dimensional model to a two-dimensional layout guide with lines outlining the panels, using the layout guide as a template for adjusting the shape and size of selected areas of the two-dimensional image to match the guide lines on the layout guide, printing the adjusted image, trimming the printed image along facing edges of adjacent ones of the panels, and bringing the trimmed edges together to form a continuous three-dimensional image.

A pocket plug is made by making a first angled cut and a second angled cut relative to proximate a first line and a first side of an elongate member having a length. A plurality of pocket plugs are made by repeating the first angled cut and the second angled cut a distance apart from the previous second angled cut along the length of the elongate member. Thus, by alternating between the first angled cut and the second angled cut the distance along the length of the elongate member, the plurality of pocket plugs are made.

A universal tool for installing annular parts, components, or devices such as tapered and non-tapered bearings on shafts includes a cap, a tube, and cooperating interchangeable force distributors. A first interchangeable tapered force distributor attaches to the tube and includes a tapered or beveled edge allowing for proper visual alignment with, and isolated force distribution on, the inner race of a tapered bearing. A second interchangeable non-tapered force distributor also attaches to the tube and includes an annular flange with a substantially flat surface that cooperates with the inner and outer races of the ball bearing such that force applied to the cap of the universal tool is evenly distributed around the inner and outer races of the ball bearing. A connector piece can be used to connect two tubes in order to accommodate longer shafts. For a press-through design, a modified cap comprising an external non-tapered force distributor can be substituted when a machine press is used to install the bearing on the shaft. The non-tapered force distributor allows the shaft to extend therethrough and supports the universal tool when it is inverted and secured to the machine press.
