PURPOSE: A device and a method for testing a face recognition function of an intelligent robot are provided to obtain the repeatability and the reproducibility of an evaluating test using a face image of a user which is previously stored and to produce the quantitative evaluating result. CONSTITUTION: A device for testing a face recognition function of an intelligent robot comprises an image outputting device(300) and a testing device main body(400). The testing device main body allows the image outputting device to display a face image of a user with respect to the intelligent robot by controlling the image outputting device. The testing device main body determines a function with respect to the face recognition and the authentication of the intelligent robot by analyzing the face image displayed in the image outputting device. PURPOSE: A system and a method for measuring performance of identifying a face by an intelligent robot are provided to objectively measure performance of identifying a face by an intelligent robot, thereby obtaining reliability in performance measurement of a component development company, a component buying company, or a consumer. CONSTITUTION: A test environment preparing device(100) prepares a test environment. A face identifying system(200) performs image capture, image preprocessing, face region extraction, face element extraction, personal identification, and recognition result output. A user tracking success rate analyzer(300) outputs a successful face region extraction frequency. A user tracking speed calculator(400) calculates a final user tracking speed. PURPOSE: A system for testing the performance evaluation of human face recognition of a robot using human model is provided to supply quantitive performance evaluation about the face recognition of a robot system. CONSTITUTION: A test space set(20) represents one among various living spaces. Human models(11-1n) is located in the experimental space set and represents various human shape. A robot(30) is located in the testing space set, perform the quantitive performance evaluation performance of face recognition about the face model in the condition in which the posture of the human model, the light of the test space set, and the distance to the human model is changed according to the testing environment.

In the present invention, disclosed are a performance evaluation system and method for a face recognition function of an intelligent robot using an LED monitor, capable of performing a performance test for a recognition function and the face recognition of the intelligent robot by changing and displaying an image or a face image of a user through the LED monitor in a test chamber in which a dark room environment is formed.
