    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject coating agent capable of forming a coat which has excellent wet abrasion resistance and hardly becomes dirty without using an expensive production method by including a specific aqueous polymer dispersion, inorganic pigment, etc., and bringing the pigment volume concentration to at least a specific value without essentially including any volatile organic solvent. SOLUTION: This coating agent is obtained by including (A) at least one kind of an aqueous polymer dispersion capable of forming a thin film at room temperature and containing at least one kind of a polymer made from (i) 80-99.95 mass % of at least one kind of monomer selected from e.g. acrylic esters each having a 2-20C alkanol or 5-10C cycloalkanol and (ii) 0.05-10 mass % of at least one kind of monomer selected from e.g. ethylene-based unsaturated carboxylic acids, (B) at least one kind of inorganic pigment or the like, (C) 0.05 to =10.

    Abstract: Process for the functionalisation of compounds by introduction of copolymerisable, ethylenically unsaturated groups, characterised in that compounds which contain groups reactive with amino groups or with oxime groups are reacted with copolymerisable oxime ethers of the formula or wherein A is a divalent connecting member, R and R independently of one another are a C1- to C10-alkyl, a C1-C10-alkoxy, a C5- to C10-cycloalkyl or a C5- to C10-aryl radical which can also contain 1-3 non-adjacent nitrogen, oxygen or sulphur atoms as heteroatoms in the carbon chain or in the carbon ring and can be substituted by one to three C1- to C4-alkyl or -alkoxy groups, R or R can be a hydrogen atom or R and R together form a bridge of 3 to 14 carbon atoms, it being possible for some of the carbon atoms also to be part of an aromatic ring, Z is an n-valent organic radical which contains a copolymerisable ethylenically unsaturated group, R is an H atom or a methyl group and n is an integer from 1 to 3.
