Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing the subject polyurethane capable of evading the problem of a free amine and having a low viscosity, a sufficient molecular weight distribution and a chain length distribution by using a polyetherpolyol obtained by combining a specific aromatic amine. SOLUTION: (A) An organic or a modified organic diisocyanate and/or polyisocyanate is reacted with (B) a polyetherpolyol base on an aromatic amine obtained by reacting a mixture of the total 100wt.% diphenylmethane-based amines comprising 5-20wt.% tetracyclic amine, 15-30wt.% tricyclic amine, 20-35wt.% polycyclic amine having four or more rings and 25-50wt.% bicyclic amine with other aromatic amines in combination in the presence of (C) a foaming agent and (D) a catalyst in the method for producing the objective polyurethane. The other aromatic amines are preferably aniline, tolylenediamine, etc. Further, the other aromatic amines are preferably used in 0.1-10wt.% based on the weight of the diphenylmethane-based amine mixture.
