Abstract: In the present invention there is disclosed a coated solid formulation for plant protection in the form of a granulate or pellets comprising a shaped support with at least one active plant-protective substance coated on the envelope. The envelope is formed by a copolymerisate wax consisting, after drying, of 75 to 90 percent by weight of ethylene and 10 to 25 percent by weight of {alpha}-olefinically unsaturated mono- or dicarboxylic acid having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, whereby the copolymerisate wax melt flow index value ranges from 1 to 600 g/10 minutes, as measured at 160 degC and 0,033 N and the mono- or dicarboxylic acid may be either completely or partially in the form of a salt with alkali metal ions, ammonium ions or identical or different alkanolammonium ions as cations. Claimed is also a process for preparing the formulation, which preparation process comprises i) spraying a plant-protective compound to a carrier, ii) drying the obtained material and iii) introducing an envelope layer of a copolymerisate wax in the form of a wax dispersion containing 5 to 40 percent by weight of the copolymerisate wax by spraying to the dried up material.

Abstract: A novel encapsulated fertiliser granulate (I) is obtained by applying to a starting fertiliser granulate (II) aqueous solutions containing (a) a polyelectrolyte (PE) and (b) oppositely charged polyvalent ions (MI). Also claimed is a fertilisation method involving applying (I) to agricultural land. Preferably PE has a solubility in water, at 20 deg C and pH 1-14, of at least 0.1 g per litre. MI consists of alkaline earth metal, zinc, aluminium or iron ions; and/or a second polyelectrolyte (PE') having the opposite charge to PE. PE and MI are especially both bio-polymers. (II) is optionally further treated with (c) a polyfunctional compound (V) which reacts with PE or MI to form at least two bonds, during or in combination with application of (a) and (b); and/or (d) an aqueous dispersion of an optionally salified copolymer if 75-90 wt.% ethylene and 10-25 wt.% alpha -olefinically unsaturated 3-8C carboxylic acid, before or in combination with application of (a) and (b), specifically such that the amount of copolymer is 1-50 wt.% based on PE and MI.
