    Abstract: PURPOSE:To purify the titled compound in high efficiency, suppressing the decomposition of the compound, by supplying an aqueous solution of a dipeptide ester containing an inorganic acid into a middle chamber of an electrolytic cell partitioned with anion exchange membranes, charging a base and an electrolyte to a cathode chamber and an anode chamber, respectively, and transferring the inorganic acid from the middle chamber to the anode chamber. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of a dipeptide ester (e.g. alpha-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester) containing an inorganic acid is supplied to a middle chamber 7 between anion exchange chambers 2, 3 of an electrolytic cell 1 partitioned with plural anion exchange membranes 2, 3. The cathode chamber 8 and the anode chamber 6 are supplied with an aqueous solution containing a basic substance and an aqueous solution of an electrolyte, respectively. A potential is applied between the anode 4 and the cathode 5 to transfer hydroxyl ion from the cathode chamber 8 through the anion exchange membrane 3 into the middle chamber 7 to neutralize the aqueous solution of dipeptide ester containing inorganic acid and, at the same time, the anion of the inorganic acid in the aqueous solution is transferred through the anion exchange membrane 2 into the anode chamber 6 to obtain the objective compound in purified state.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To crystallize a crystal of the subject compound having good filtrating property and dehydrating property by continuously feeding a hot water solution containing alpha-L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester to a crystallizing tank cooled to a temperature or below at which the compound is dissolved. CONSTITUTION:Whenalpha-L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester (A2PM) is crystallized from a hot water solution containing alpha-L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester by cooling, the crystallization of A2PM is carried out by continuously feeding a hot water solution in which the content of L-aspartyl-Laspartyl-L- phenylalanine methyl ester (A2PM) is 0.6% smaller than the of alpha-L-spartyl-L- phenylalanine methyl ester to a crystallizing tank cooled to a temperature or below at which alpha-L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester is dissolved and simultaneously continuously drawing out the produced slurry from the crystallizing tank.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To selectively obtain a para-substituted halogenated benzene derivative in halogenating a benzene derivative by the use of faujasite type zeolite and/or L-type zeolite as a catalyst, by adding an organic phosphorus compound to a reaction system. CONSTITUTION:In producing a halogenated benzene derivative by halogenating reaction of a benzene derivative by the use of faujasite type zeolite and/or L-type zeolite as a catalyst, an organic phosphorus compound shown by formula I-formula V [R1-R3 are 1-20C hydrocarbon residue which may contain substituted group (OH, halogen, ester group or COOH); X and Y are halogen) in a ratio of 1X10 -0.1g/g-zeolite, preferably 1X10 -5X10 g/g-zeolite calculated as phosphorus atom is added to the reaction system to give a para- substituted halogenated benzene derivative having abundant industrial demands in high selectivity while suppressing by-products of ortho-substituted halogenated benzene derivatives.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To readily obtain the titled compound useful as special surfactants, etc., in high yield, by reacting fluorine-containing aliphatic mono- or dihalide with CO2 in the presence of a complex of a group VIII transition metal of the periodic table and iodide ion generating agent and hydrolyzing the resultant product. CONSTITUTION:A fluorine-containing aliphatic mono- or difluoride expressed by formula I (X and X' are halogen, except when both are F at the same time; Rf is fluorine-containing aliphatic group), e.g. perfluorooctyl iodide, etc., is reacted with carbon dioxide in the presence of a complex of a group VIII transition metal of the periodic table, particularly preferably palladium complex and an iodide ion generating agent, e.g. potassium iodide, ammonium iodide, etc., in an organic solvent and the resultant product is then hydrolyzed to afford the aimed fluorine-containing aliphatic mono- or dicarboxylic acid expressed by formula II (Y and Y' are carboxyl, provided that the corresponding Y or Y' is F when either one of X and X' is F).
