Abstract:
Provide is a 3-dimensional Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (3D DMB) system. The present invention can provide a 3D DMB system providing a more realistic 3D Audio/Video (AV) service to a user, while maintaining comparability with a conventional DMB system, by processing a binocular 3D image and 3D sound based on a conventional system structure. The 3D DMB system includes: a video encoder for receiving and encoding a video signal of a binocular 3D image; an audio encoder for receiving and encoding an audio signal of a 3D sound; a packetizor for packetizing the encoded video and audio signals into an Sync Layer (SL) packet; and a multiplexer for transforming and multiplexing the SL packet packetized by the packetizer. A 3D DMB receiving system includes: a demultiplexer for demultiplexing a stream including binocular 3D image information and 3D sound information; a depacketizer for depacketizing the SL packet and outputting a decoding stream of an 3D video signal and a 3D sound audio signal; a video decoder for decoding a encoding stream for a video signal of the binocular 3D image; an audio decoder for decoding a encoding stream for the 3D sound audio signal; and a scene restorer for forming and outputting a 2D AV or 3D AV scene by using a video/3D additional video and an audio/3D additional audio signal which are received from the video decoder and the audio decoder.

Provided is a DMB/mobile telecommunication integrated service terminal and a method for connecting a DMB network and a mobile telecommunication network, which can provide a DMB broadcasting service in a mobile environment and a two-way data service through a mobile telecommunication network simultaneously by integrating a mobile telecommunication terminal and a mobile DMB receiving terminal and physically/logically connecting them into one entity. The DMB/mobile telecommunication integrated service terminal for connecting a network between DMB and a mobile telecommunication includes a DMB broadcasting processing block for extracting video/audio and synchronized data, transmitting the video/audio to corresponding application program for restoration, and transmitting the DMB data to a DMB/mobile telecommunication network connecting block, but generating network linkage data by integrating mobile data with the DMB data in case that the mobile data are transmitted from a mobile telecommunication accessing block; a DMB/mobile telecommunication network connecting block for controlling the DMB broadcasting processing block, an application program or a mobile telecommunication accessing block to receive a DMB broadcasting or provide a mobile telecommunication service, requesting additional mobile data to a return channel server through the mobile telecommunication accessing block upon a user request during DMB broadcasting reception, and processing the network linkage data generated in the DMB broadcasting processing block; and the mobile telecommunication accessing block for performing a mobile telecommunication network accessing process receiving the mobile data from the return channel server, and transmitting the mobile data to the DMB broadcasting processing block or the DMB/mobile telecommunication network connecting block under control of the DMB/mobile telecommunication network connecting block. The DMB/mobile telecommunication integrated service terminal is applied to a DMB/mobile telecommunication integrated service.

Provided is an apparatus and method for estimating inverse channel of a repeater's receiving channel, which ensures stability and causality by generating a time-domain filter coefficient having information on an inverse channel of repeater's receiving channel from a signal transmitted from a main transmitter or another repeater. The apparatus includes: a channel estimator for estimating a channel established by a transmission path from a received signal; an inverse minimum phase filter coefficient generator for generating inverse channel of a minimum phase channel from the estimated channel, and converting the inverse channel of the minimum phase channel into a time-domain filter coefficient; an inverse group delay filter coefficient generator for generating a time-domain filter coefficient by using the estimated channel and the minimum phase channel; and a combiner for generating an inverse channel of a receiving channel in a time domain by combining the filter coefficient and the filter coefficient.

A method and apparatus for transmitting/receiving broadcasting-communication data is provided. The apparatus includes: an original signal generator configured to receive the original data and generate baseband original signals; a first modulator configured to receive the baseband additional signals and generate original signals of a predetermined band; an additional signal generator configured to receive the additional data and generate baseband additional signals; a second modulator configured to receive the baseband additional signals and generate additional signals of a predetermined band; an average power controller configured to control an average power of the additional signals of the predetermined band; an inserter configured to insert the additional signals of the predetermined band with a controlled average power to the original signals of the predetermined band to thereby generate mixed signals of a predetermined band; and a transmitter configured to transmit the mixed signals of the predetermined band.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for providing 3D still image service in a specific time interval during audio-visual service of digital broadcast are provided. The method includes receiving a reference image and a 3D supplement image, which construct a 3D still image, through a data channel or a video channel together with a 2D image; restoring the reference image and the 3D supplement image to the 3D still image; and displaying the 3D still image in a specific interval during digital audio-visual broadcast using the 2D image according to display information which includes a play time and a play mode.
