Abstract: Se proveen un método y aparatos para el inicio de una llamada grupal en una red de comunicación grupal para la recepción de una petición de inicio de una llamada grupal tomando como base a un miembro y para el inicio de una llamada grupal tomando como base a la lista de miembros recibida. El método y los aparatos también proveen el anuncio de llamada a cada miembro de la lista de miembros, recibiendo acuse de recibo desde un miembro que desea participar en la llamada grupal, y el envío hacia delante de medios hacia el miembro después que su canal de tráfico está restablecido. El método y los aparatos también brindan una significativa reducción en el tiempo total real de "despertar" de la inactividad y de la latencia al intercambiar la senalización de llamada grupal aún cuando los móviles están inactivos y ningún canal de tráfico está activo.
