    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid erasing erroneously an important record by specifying a partial section of a recording medium as rerecording inhibiting section. SOLUTION: A value of a counter 19 at the time of taking out a tape cassette 1 after completing video recording/reproducing is stored in a memory 6 via microcomputer 15. Then, first and last count values of a desired arbitrary section are applied to the rerecording inhibiting section by operating keys 16, and are stored in the memory 6 by the microcomputer 15, thus inhibiting recording when a tape traveling amt. counting value by the counter 19 of the cassette 1 falls within this inhibiting section. Then, when the cassette 1 is loaded into a deck to start recording, the count value at the previous time of taking out the cassette is read out of the memory 6, and is set in the counter 19. Moreover, the inhibiting section is read out of the memory 6, and whether the set values in the counter 19 should correspond to the inhibiting section or not is detected, and if not, recording is started up under the control of the microcomputer 15, and if so, this fact is displayed on a display panel 18, and simultaneously, recording is not started up.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized high sensitivity television camera by using an image pickup element capable of controlling exposure time, providing a slow shutter control circuit, storing the signal output of the image pickup element, repeatedly performing read during an exposure continuous period and performing correction. SOLUTION: The one (with an electronic shutter function) capable of controlling the exposure time is used for a solid-state image pickup element 1. Then, the output of a camera signal processing circuit 5 is sent to a signal processing circuit 6 for recording through a, switching circuit 108, simultaneously sent to a field memory unit 102, stored in a field memory 104 through an A/D converter 103 and read through a D/A converter 106 further. The same video signal is continuously sent through the switching circuit 108 to the signal circuit 6 for recording for one time each in a blank period and a 1-field period. Thus, television signals interpolated so as to eliminate the blank period are obtained even though it is the repetition of the same video signal during the continuous period required for exposure in the signal circuit 6 for recording.

Then the video signal V3 is converted into an RGB signal at an LCD driver 4 and converted into a drive signal D2 of an LCD 6 and the drive signal D2 is read by the read clock signal CK3 from a clock signal generating circuit 11 and fed to the LCD 6.
