Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform the multiitem measurement using a small quantity of sample, blood, by measuring the concentration of plural ions in the sample blood by an electrode method and hereafter, sending said blood to an analyzing apparatus of nonionic substance and measuring said sample blood. CONSTITUTION:Sample blood is taken in a flow cell 2. Electric signals generated between each indication electrode 3, 4, 5 and a comparison electrode in accordance with the concentration of each component, are inputted to amplifiers 7, 8, 9 and the concentration of each component is indicated by indicators 10, 11, 12. The sample blood finished the measurement in the cell 2 is sucked out from the cell 2 by a pump 13 and is sent to a next analyzing apparatus 14 for nonionic substance such as nitrogen and creatinine to measure nitrogen and creatinine.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To determine the concentration of a substrate, by adding catalase to oxidoreductase and measuring the difference of hydrogen peroxide produced by the action of oxidoreductase and hydrogen peroxide consumed by the action of catalase electrochemically. CONSTITUTION:A dilution solution admixed with potassium chloride, glucose oxidase and catalase to a phosphate buffer solution, is filled in a tank 7 and is sent to a flow cell 2 by a pump 6. A sample solution containing beta-D glucose injected from a sample injection opening 5 and the dilution solution, is mixed by a stirrer 4 and beta-D glucose is decomposed by glucose oxidase to produce hydrogen peroxide. At the same time, hydrogen peroxide is decomposed by the action of catalase. The concentration of said hydrogen peroxide is detected by a polarographic electrode 1 and its signal is amplified to differentiate by a differential circuit 9 and its maximum value is measured.

A pure water is supplied through a feed line l1 from a pure water tank 5 by a liquid feed pump 6, and a phosphatic salt buffer liquid is fed from a phosphatic salt buffer liquid tank 7. The phosphatic salt buffer liquid is a water solution containing 1mol/l-1X10 mol/l phosphate of dinatrium. The absorption liquid, absorbing the hydrogen, is fed to a measurement cell 10 through a line l3 by a pumping-out device 9, and the concentration of the hydrogen chloride is measured by a measuring electrode 11.

CONSTITUTION:When measuring activities of microbes, such as bacteria and yeast, etc., of blood corpuscle and lymphatic corpuscle, etc. of animal and botanical tissues, etc., a cell 9 which has an anode 3, an anolyte 7, a temperature detecting element 8, a liquid junction 4 such as a ceramic membrane, etc. for making it contact outside liquid, and a cathode 9, is inserted into a tank 10 which is filled with liquid containing these animal and botanical tissues (incubatory liquid and suspension, etc.), and the measurement results are shown by using an ammeter or a voltmeter 2 and a recording device 1. A separate measuring device which has an electrode, equipped with exposed cathode and anode, and a constant potential electrolyzing device can also be used. It is thus possible to measure, with rapidity and simplicity, biological activities of microbial, animal and botanical tissues without requiring a reference battery or a reference electrode.

An internal electrode 1 is hermetically sealed in the outer pipe 2 with the internal liquid 3, a branch pipe 7 is mounted to an upper portion of the outer pipe 2, and the branch pipe is connected to a pressurizing suction pump P3, a pressurizing suction device of the internal liquid, thus forming a comparison electrode portion. The solution concentration measuring device is constituted by a concentration indicating electrode ES, the comparison electrode ER, etc., and a liquid communication portion Rj (the small tube portion 4 and the hole portion 5) is inserted into a flow cell F.C with a detecting end of the concentration indicating electrode ES.
