본 발명은 탄소 계열 혹은 금속 계열 연료전지 분리판을 저온에서 높은 저항, 고온에서 낮은 저항의 특성을 갖는 온도 의존성 가변 저항 발열체인 복합 전이금속 산화물로 표면처리하여, 차량용 연료전지 스택의 저온 구동 시 필요한 충분한 발열량을 자체적으로 신속히 확보할 수 있도록 해줌으로써, 외부의 부가적 장비 증설 및 여타의 외부 에너지 투입없이 생성수 결빙 방지에 필요한 열량을 스택 내부에서 신속히 자체 확보할 수 있도록 하여 연료전지 차량의 냉시동성을 개선할 수 있고, 탄소 계열 혹은 금속 계열 분리판 피막의 내산성 향상을 목적으로 여타의 금속 및 전이금속을 가변저항성 복합 전이금속 산화물에 첨가하여 연료전지 분리판의 내구성 향상을 도모할 수 있도록 한 연료전지 분리판 및 그 제조 방법을 제공하거자 한 것이다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A metal bipolar plate for a fuel cell is provided to improve corrosion resistance and to satisfy demand constant resistance of a bipolar plate by comprising highly accumulated nitrogen invasion layer with thickness of 200 nm or less without component change of a base material. CONSTITUTION: A metal bipolar plate for a fuel cell has a surface layer structure consisting of a nitrogen penetration layer formed on the surface of a stainless steel base material and a Fe3O4 surface oxidation layer formed on the surface of the nitrogen penetration layer. A method for forming the surface layer structure of a metal bipolar plate for a fuel cell comprises the steps of: plasma-nitriding a stainless steel base material to form a nitrogen penetration layer formed on the surface of a base material; and oxidizing and reducing the surface of the stainless steel base material formed with the nitrogen penetration layer to laminate an Fe3O4 surface oxidation layer on the surface of the nitrogen penetration layer.

Abstract: A gasket for reducing stress concentration of a fuel cell stack is provided to prevent the damage and deformation of a separator by reducing stress concentrated at the specific position. A gasket(40) for reducing stress concentration of a fuel cell stack maintains air tightness by being inserted between a membrane-electrode assembly(1) and a separator(2) or between separators. The gasket has a joint of a T type or + type structure to form hydrogen, air and cooling water manifold, or has a structure of meeting branches of which an angle of both directions is 180 degree, at one point with constant angle to reduce the stress concentration of a gasket generated with the deformation of the gasket according to the compressive force.
