Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for setting a reference location of an actuator in an automated manual transmission including a simultaneous operation step (S10), a diagonal movement confirming step (S20), and a selecting direction moving step (S30). The present invention may obtain silent and rapid operation properties by removing noise generated when a finger moves to the end in a shifting direction. The present invention enables the reference location of the finger to be accurately initialized while relatively minimizing the movements of the finger.
