Abstract:
Abstract:
Disclosed is a leaded motor fuel additive composition which synergistically interacts with the alkyl lead additive to reduce both fuel intake system deposit formation and combustion chamber deposit formation, thereby reducing engine ORI and maintaining desired engine performance.
Abstract:
Subject of the invention are substituted polyethylene polyamines having general formula (I), method of their preparation and their use as additives inhibiting, or limiting the formation of deposits in the process of cracking of hydrocarbon residues, which simultaneously prevent the formation of precursors of coke, especially asphaltenes, and bind free radicals affecting mainly the stability of products during their separation and storage.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an organic sol characterised in that it comprises cerium oxide particles, an organic liquid phase and at least an amphiphilic compound selected among carboxylic acid polyoxyethylene alkyl ethers, polyethylene phosphate alkyl ethers, dialkyl sulphosuccinates and quaternary ammonium compounds. In a first embodiment, the method for preparing the sol is characterised in that it consists in mixing said amphiphilic compound and the organic liquid phase, then in dispersing the cerium oxide particles in the resulting mixture. In a second embodiment, the method consists in forming a mixture of cerium oxide and at least one said amphiphilic compound, then in dispersing said mixture in said organic liquid phase. The invention also concerns a solid compound comprising a mixture of cerium oxide and at least an amphiphilic compound selected among those mentioned above.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a composition comprising an organic sol of particles of at least one tetravalent metal oxide, and at least an organic compound of at least one alkaline-earth. The composition may further contain at least an organic compound of at least an alkaline. The tetravalent metal is more particularly cerium. The invention also concerns the use of said composition as additive of hydrocarbon compounds.
Abstract:
A process for reacting certain carboxylic reactants with olefinic compounds then reacting the intermediate prepared thereby with ammonia, a hydrazine or an amine, and/or a reactive metal compound, products prepared thereby and, additive concentrates, lubricating oil and fuel compositions.
Abstract:
Platinum group metal fuel additives are effective in fuel environments which make the exclusion of water impractical. The fuels additives comprise a platinum group metal compound and a water-functional composition selected from the group consisting of lipophilic emulsifiers, lipophilic organic compounds in which water is miscible and mixtures of these. The additives are preferably effective in fuel compositions having water contents of at least about 0.01 % water by weight.
Abstract:
Cold high energy fuel compositions for jet, turbine, diesel, fuel oil, and gasoline combustion systems. More particularly, relates to fuels comprised of enhanced combustion structure.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to processes and additive compositions capable of performing at least one of the following: a) stabilizing asphaltenes flocculated and/or precipitated in a petroleum product (as a crude oil, a residue or a fuel oil), rendering thus possible its blending with other petroleum products or its processing or its combustion; b) reducing fouling in petroleum apparatuses; c) achieving yield increase in petroleum refining and/or petrochemical operations; d) reducing particulate and/or SOx and/or NOx emissions during combustion of fuels; e) reducing fouling and/or coke formation in catalysts; f) favouring cleaning and/or decoking of petroleum apparatuses; g) reducing fouling arising from diesel and biodiesel fuels.
