    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the subject fiber having good touch and not causing a trouble such as the generation of the rubbing-out products of the fiber, e.g. white powder, in higher processes by having specific physical properties and containing medium active alumina particles and particles other than the medium active alumina particles. CONSTITUTION:The objective fiber having a tan delta peak temperature of =1.37g/cm and a birefringence degree of >=0.09 contains alumina particles with medium activity (e.g. gamma-alumina, delta-alumina, eta-alumina or theta-alumina) preferably in an amount of 0.01-2.5wt.% and particles other than the alumina particles (e.g. titanium oxide, calcium carbonate, alpha-alumina or carbon black) preferably in an amount of >=0.1wt.%. The alumina is preferably added as the slurry of a glycol used as a raw material for synthesizing the polyester. The spinning speed of 5500-8000m/minute permits to provide the fiber having the above-mentioned physical properties.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To lessen heat deterioration in heating a thermoplastic hydrocarbon to high temperature, by laying a static blending element just before a spinneret and closely setting a heater along the static blending element. CONSTITUTION:A static blending element 2 is laid in such a way that a heater 7 is closely set along the periphery of the static blending element, the heater 7 is covered with heat insulating materials 11, 12 and 13 and the static blending element 2 is heated by an electric heater. A molten thermoplastic polymer is passed through a filtering material, a wire net filter, a restrictor plate, a passage 10 and the static blending element 2 just before a spinneret 3, where blending and heating are carried out and the polymer is extruded from a delivery hole 8.
