    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiwavelength etalon having susceptibility for each of a plurality of wavelengths. SOLUTION: The multiwavelength etalon has a plurality of regions 38, 39 having different refractive indices. By changing the refractive indices, the wavelength of light entering the etalon is varied, and thereby, a plurality of wavelengths between the reflection faces of the etalon are detected. By selecting specified refractive indices, the etalon shows peaks and troughs at specified wavelengths in the transmission characteristics. Or, by gradually changing the refractive index in the transition region 40 between the two adjacent regions having different refractive indices, the optical interference can be decreased.

SOLUTION: A mobile station scans control channels of a public wireless system and a private wireless system and measures a received signal parameter of at least one channel. A hybrid communication network transfers a job of the mobile station from the public wireless system into the private wireless system when the measured value is an object value of the private wireless system or over, or transfers the job of the mobile station from the private wireless system into the public wireless system when the measured value is an object value of the public wireless system or over. A job control point maintains a central database of a user protocol updated in response to the job transfer procedure and a service node again manages a data message addressed to the mobile station via any wireless system and transfers the data message to the mobile station.

A feedback circuit 52 is connected to an input detecting node 32 and an output detecting node 50 to receive an input designation signal and an output designation signal and to generate a gating signal. The output circuit responds to the gating signal to control to switch the connection to a load. The input detector or the feedback circuit may be constituted to delay to differentiate the phases of the input designation signal and the input signal.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide tap which can extend the bandwidth and/or improve the resolution for a newly available optical application while keeping its cost efficiency. SOLUTION: An optical monitoring device uses the characteristic of a blazed Bragg grid to change the direction from an axis path to the inside of a detector for some optical signals. In order to increase the strength of a monitor, plural blazed Bragg grids having each peculiar characteristic are used. In particular, N pieces of grids are used for increasing the monitor's bandwidth by N times (as long as no duplication of wavelength occurs between the grids). The resolution is alternatively improved by using the narrower bandwidth and performing measurement in frequency as much as N times of the number of raw data points included in the bandwidth. The combination is attained between the extension of bandwidth and the improvement of resolution via the agreement secured between these two poles. The chirped blaze grids are also available.
