Abstract:
This disclosure relates to techniques for a wireless device to perform channel state information reporting. The wireless device may receive channel state information reporting configuration information. The channel state information reporting configuration information may include an indication to use a wideband precoding matrix indicator format for 3GPP release 16 type II channel state information reporting. The wireless device may perform channel state information reporting using a different reporting configuration than 3GPP release 16 type II channel state information reporting using a wideband precoding matrix indicator format based at least in part on the channel state information reporting configuration information. The wireless device may also or alternatively perform 3GPP type I channel state information reporting using a unified spatial basis selection framework for rank indicators of 3 and 4 for any number of channel state information reference signal ports.
Abstract:
Techniques discussed herein can facilitate configuration of a User Equipment (UE) with two or more Discontinuous Reception (DRX) configurations. A first set of techniques can facilitate configuration of the UE with independent DRX configurations for Frequency Range 1 (FR1) and for Frequency Range 2 (FR2). A second set of techniques can facilitate configuration of the UE with independent DRX configurations for a first set of one or more Component Carriers (CCs) associated with a first frequency band of a supported band combination and for a second set of one or more CCs associated with a second frequency band of the supported band combination. Various embodiments can employ techniques of one or more of the first set of techniques or the second set of techniques.
Abstract:
A relay user equipment (UE) configured to operate as a relay between a remote UE and a network component performs a method. The method includes determining at least one relay capability of the relay UE and performing a relay access control operation that indicates to the remote UE whether the remote UE is permitted to use the relay UE as the relay.
Abstract:
Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE,106) and/or cellular network (100) to perform cell detection and measurement, e.g., in new radio (NR) unlicensed (NR-U). The UE (106) may determine that a threshold condition related to missed reference signal opportunities is reached. In response, the UE (106) may modify reference signal monitoring and/or measurement.
Abstract:
Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to perform power control for uplink (UL) reference signals (RS). A UE may determine spatial configuration for UL RS based on another communication. A UE may determine an updated pathloss within a reduced implementation following an update of downlink (DL) RS. A UE may reset a power control factor in response to receiving an update.
Abstract:
This disclosure relates to performing implicit radio resource control state transitions in a cellular communication system. A wireless device may establish a radio resource control (RRC) connection with a cellular base station. A data inactivity timer length and a target RRC state for implicit RRC transitions may be determined. A data inactivity timer having the determined data inactivity timer length may be initiated. It may be determined that the data inactivity timer has expired. The wireless device may transition to the target RRC state based at least in part on determining that the data inactivity timer has expired.
Abstract:
Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device to perform user equipment (UE) initiated beam management procedures with a base station or gNB. A wireless device in communication with a 5G base station may detect degradation in the pair of transmit and receive beams between the gNB and the device. The device may select a preferred beam management procedure and indicate the preference to the gNB.
Abstract:
Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device to detect intermodulation issues and configure a transmission scheme to remedy detected intermodulation issues. The wireless device may perform measurements on a downlink carrier while one uplink carrier is scheduled for the wireless device. The wireless device may also perform measurements on the downlink carrier while two uplink carriers are scheduled for the wireless device. The wireless device may provide information based on those measurements to a serving base station. The base station may determine that an intermodulation issue is occurring at the wireless device based on the information provided, and may configure the wireless device to use a single uplink carrier at a time based at least in part on the intermodulation issue.
Abstract:
This disclosure relates to techniques for supporting asymmetric uplink and downlink bandwidth allocations for a wireless device, and for dynamically modifying the bandwidth allocations for a wireless device, in a wireless communication system. A cellular communication link may be established between a base station and a wireless device. The base station may determine an uplink bandwidth allocation and a downlink bandwidth allocation for the wireless device. The uplink bandwidth allocation and the downlink bandwidth allocation may be selected based on different criteria and may include different amounts of bandwidth. Indications of the uplink bandwidth allocation and the downlink bandwidth allocation may be provided to the wireless device. The base station and wireless device may communicate according to the uplink bandwidth allocation and the downlink bandwidth allocation.
Abstract:
This disclosure relates to techniques for performing network initiated downlink data transmissions with a wireless device in a cellular network. According to some embodiments, a wireless device and a cellular network may perform an attach procedure. As part of the attach procedure, the wireless device may indicate to the cellular network to store context information associated with the wireless device after the attach procedure is completed and the wireless device transitions to idle mode. The wireless device may also store context information. The stored context information may be used in conjunction with a network initiated downlink data transaction between the cellular network and the wireless device.
