Abstract: A distance estimating device and method using variance are provided to be used for a safe driving system by reducing an estimated error. A distance estimating method using a stereo vision comprises: a step of selecting a target object and calculating the center of the selected target object using a photographed image(S702,S704); a step of setting a window for the variance estimation of a reference image using the center of the object and brightness distributed intelligence of the image(S706); a step of setting the window of the remaining image not the reference image using the variance mean value of a pixel within the set window(S716); a step of calculating similarity of the pixel within the set window on each image; and a step of estimating the precision variance using the similarity(S718).

Abstract: A method for providing a virtual personal computer environment and a mobile memory device therefor are provided to execute an OS that a user wants in an OS of a real PC. A storage module(210) stores a file system about one or more selectable guest OSs. A virtual PC module(220) executes a usage object guest that the user selects in the guest OS on a host OS of a PC by operating a virtual PC application. If the user connects a mobile memory device(200) to the PC, a connection module(230) of the mobile memory device transceives data with the PC through a predetermined communication protocol.

Abstract: An apparatus for estimating position and an estimating method are provided, which improve the efficiency of system and reduce expense. An apparatus for estimating position using the stereo vision comprises the stereo matching part(320), the accumulation cross section stoker(340), the accumulation cross section processing unit(350), and the location estimate part(360). The stereo matching part stereo-matches the photographed image and obtains the depth map image. The accumulation cross section processing unit obtains the line which shows outline and background image of the cross section image by making use of the accumulation cross section image. The location estimate part estimates the location of object by using the horizontal location information and vertical position information of object.

Abstract: A method for determining a base station for position determination and a method therefor using the same are provided to determine a base station for position determination accurately by determining a base station in consideration of arrangement of the base station and allow the mobile terminal to perform the more exact determination. A candidate base station which generates RSS(Received Signal Strength) more than the fixed critical value are determined(S400). Determined candidate base stations are grouped(S410). One or more group in which the mobile terminal is positioned within the triangle which the first, and the second and the third group element form is detected(S420). Abstract: A PCI(Peripheral Component Interconnect) target controller having design versatility is provided to enable a user to adjust a memory size free by putting a prefetch memory to the outside to have a more improved configuration than a PCI2.2 structure, and offer a hardware structure attaching no memory in case that an application supports only the instant transmission. The PCI target controller includes a signal line for a PCI interface, the signal for a local interface, an EEPROM(Electronically Erasable Programmable ROM) interface signal line, a memory interface signal line, a buffer block, a PCI interface control unit, a local interface control unit, PCI interface state machines, a data size counter, and a configuration register control block. The EEPROM interface signal line makes information of an EEPROM(50) set to an internal register of a target controller(C) in a system initialization process. The memory interface signal line stores the prefetch data to a dual port memory(M). The PCI/local interface control unit generates and detects a signal of the PCI interface and the local interface.
