    Abstract: A receiving device comprising circuitry configured to receive a signal including pilot bits transmitted by a plurality of antennas; wherein the received signal includes data for a single user that was combined with different sequences producing a plurality of combined data sequences; wherein antenna-specific weights for the plurality of antennas are applied to each of the combined data sequences and the antenna specific weights are applied to pilot bits added with the combined data sequences; wherein the received signal includes the pilot bits for each of the plurality of antennas; and wherein the pilot bits for each antenna have a different sequence for that antenna; the circuitry is further configured to derive preferred weights for the received signal based on the pilot bits for each antenna; the circuitry is further configured to recover data for the single user from each of the combined data sequences; and the circuitry is further configured to combine data from the recovered data for the single user from each of the different sequences.

    Abstract: A sliding window based data estimation is performed. An error is introduced in the data estimation due to the communication model modeling the relationship between the transmitted and received signals. To compensate for an error in the estimated data, the data that was estimated in a previous sliding window step or terms that would otherwise be truncated as noise are used. These techniques allow for the data to be truncated prior to further processing reducing the data of the window.

    Abstract: A method and wireless communication apparatus for receiving a plurality of communication signals transmitted in a wireless code division multiple access format. A channel response for each received communication signal is estimated. A system response matrix using codes and the channel responses of the received communication signals is constructed. The system response matrix is used in connection with matched filtering the received communication signals and to produce an objective matrix. The filtered communication signals are processed in a cancellation feedback loop to produce a set of symbols of the received communications including iterative processing with an interference cancellation matrix and processing with a feedback interference construction matrix. Preferably, the objective matrix is functionally related to the interference cancellation matrix and the feedback interference construction matrix.

    Abstract: Se describe un sistema de comunicacion bidireccional de division de tiempo, inalambrico, que utiliza acceso multiple de division de codigo, que tiene una estacion base y equipos de usuario. El sistema se comunica utilizando rafagas de comunicacion. Cada rafaga de comunicacion tiene un codigo de canalizacion unico y un codigo midamble. Cada codigo midamble es trazado en mapa a un ajuste de al menos un codigo de canalizacion. Para cada rafaga de comunicacion a ser transmitida en una ranura de tiempo desde la estacion base, se determina el codigo midamble trazado en mapa al codigo de canalizacion de las rafagas. Las rafagas de comunicacion son generadas y transmitidas en la ranura de tiempo. Cada rafaga tiene el codigo midamble determinado para su codigo de canalizacion. El equipo del usuario recibe las rafagas y determina cada codigo midamble recibido. El equipo del usuario determina los codigos de canalizacion de las rafagas de comunicacion transmitidas con base en parte en un resultado de la determinacion de cada codigo midamble recibido.
