Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing ginseng extract is provided to significantly suppress prostatic hyperplasia and to remarkably suppress growth of benign prostate tissues. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating prostatic hyperplasia contains extract of ginseng, Rhynchosia Nulubilis, and green tea as an active ingredient. The ginseng extract is prepared by pulverizing 600g of ginseng, adding 12 L of water, performing hot water extraction at 100°C for 3 hours, concentrating in a vacuum condenser at 45°C, and freeze-drying. The Rhynchosia Nulubilis extract is prepared by pulverizing 600g of Rhynchosia Nulubilis, adding 12L of water, performing at 100°C for three hours, concentrating at 45°C, and freeze-drying.
