PURPOSE: A transgenic soybean containing high alpha-tocopherol is provided to enhance alpha-tocopherol content and to improve soybean value added. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing soybean containing high alpha-tocopherol comprises: a step of introducing an expression vector containing gamma-tmt gene to Agrobactrium; a step of co-culturing transformed Agrobacterium; a step of lengthening the soybean plant in a medium to induce root; and a step of transplanting soybean. The medium contains 3% of sucrose, 3mM of MES, 1.67mg/mL of benzyl adenine, 250mg/L of cefotaxime, 50mg/L of vancomycin, 0.8% of plant agar, and 8mg/mL of phosphytotrysin.
