Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for measuring a flicker are provided to accurately determine the status of a power supply unit by measuring the flicker of a light emitting device. CONSTITUTION: A flicker measuring apparatus(100) includes a power supply unit(110), a light source(120), a signal processing module(140), and a control module(150). A light detecting module detects light emitted from one or more light sources. The power supply unit provides a dimming signal to the light source. The signal processing module converts the detected light into an electric signal and processes the signal. The control module controls the power supply unit based on the dimming control signal and measures a flicker of the light source by using the electric signal which is processed. The control module determines the status of the power supply unit according to a flicker measurement result.

Abstract: A method of filling a trench is provided to completely remove a remaining material from a mask pattern by filling a trench using an oxide material and removing an upper portion of the oxide material using an etching gas. A mask pattern(106) is formed on a substrate(100). A trench(108) is formed in the substrate by etching the substrate using the mask pattern. A first oxide film is formed on the mask pattern, such that the trench is buried. A CMP(Chemical Mechanical Polishing) is performed on the first oxide film, until a portion of the mask pattern is exposed. An upper portion of the first oxide film is removed by using a process gas having a predetermined etching selection ratio between a silicon nitride material and a silicon oxide material, and a recess(112) is formed to expose a portion of a side portion of the mask pattern.
