    Abstract: PURPOSE: A deblocking filtering method is provided to perform a deblocking filtering operation in a spiral rotating order fro an image comprising plural macro blocks. CONSTITUTION: For the first and second macroblocks placed in the central portion of an image, a deblocking filtering operation is performed. One side of the first macro block contacts the one side of the second macro block. According to the spiral-rotating order in relation to the center of the first macro block, the deblocking filtering operation is performed for the boundary of the macro blocks which are adjacent to each other. For the vertical and horizontal direction boundaries in the macro block, the deblocking filtering operation is performed one time.
