Abstract: PURPOSE: A spoke type torque sensor for an in-wheel motor is provided to measure the torque applied to wheels when an electric wheelchair and a walker are stopped on an inclined road and supplies a current corresponding to the measured torque to the motor, thereby preventing the wheels from being slid backward by the weight of a user or the gradient of a road when restarting the electric wheel chair or the walker.
