PURPOSE: A method for preparing polyamic acid in which the viscosity of polyamic acid can be controlled reproducibly to the desired level is provided to obtain polyamic acid having uniform viscosity. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing polyamic acid having uniform viscosity according to the present invention comprises reacting dianhydride and diamine to obtain polyamic acid wherein the method is characterized by comprising the steps: a) drying dianhydride and introducing into a reactor; b) drying diamine and dissolving into a solvent in which the water content is controlled; c) introducing and reacting the diamine solution dissolved in the solvent into the reactor over the controlled introduction time; and then d) sufficiently stirring and aging.

A novel photo-diamine, a liquid crystal photoaligning agent containing it, a liquid crystal photo-alignment film and a liquid crystal display device are provided to improve optical alignment, voltage holding ratio, pretilt angle and residual DC. A photo-diamine is represented by the formula 1. A liquid crystal photoaligning agent comprises a polyamic acid which is prepared by polymerizing the photo-diamine, an aromatic diamine and an acid dianhydride selected from the group consisting of an alicyclic acid dianhydride and an aromatic acid dianhydride.

A liquid crystal photoalignment agent is provided to manufacture a liquid crystal photoalignment film with excellent printability on a substrate and excellent film uniformity although a drying temperature is changed. A liquid crystal photoalignment agent comprises any one polymer selected from a polymer group consisting of a polyamic acid polymer represented by chemical formula 1, a polyimide polymer represented by chemical formula 2, and combinations thereof; and a polyimide photopolymer represented by chemical formula 3. The selected polymer has a number average molecular weight of 50,000-300,000 g/mol and a dispersion degree of 1.0-2.5.

A liquid crystal alignment agent comprises a polysilane polymer and solvent. A liquid crystal alignment agent comprises a polysiloxane polymer and solvent. The polysiloxane polymer is prepared by polymerizing a compound represented by chemical formula 1: Si(R1)4 and a compound represented by chemical formula 2: (R3)3Si-(R2)n-Si(R3)3. In chemical formula 1, four R1s are any one substituent selected from the group consisting of independently, hydroxyl C1-5 alkoxy group and C6-12 aryloxy group. Anti-reflective hardmask composition including aromatic ring-containing polymer is provided to exhibit excellent anti-reflection useful for lithographic process, endow optical and mechanical properties and etching selectivity, and provide applicable ability suitable for spin-on application by comprising the aromatic ring-containing polymer. The composition comprises: (a) 1-20wt.% of at least two aromatic ring-containing polymers as blend of a compound represented by the formula(1), wherein n ranges from 1 to 190, R1 and R2 are hydrogen or methyl group, R3 and R4 include hydrogen or reactive or chromophore member reacting with cross-linking component, and OH group is one of ortho-, meta- or para type, and another compound represented by the formula(2); (b) 0.1-5wt.% of cross-linking component; and (c) 0.001-0.05wt.% of acid catalyst. The polymer represented by the formula(1) has weight average molecular weight ranging from 500 to 30,000.
