CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal alignment agent includes at least one polymer selected from polyamic acids including a repeating unit represented by chemical formula 1, and polyimide including a repeating unit represented by chemical formula 2. In chemical formula 1 and 2, each of X^1 and X^2 is a tetravalent organic group derived from alicyclic anhydride or aromatic dianhydride; each of Y^1 and Y^2 is a divalent organic group derived from diamine; and each of diamine includes at least one diamine which will be used in chemical formula 3 and 4.

The polymer is selected from a group consisting of polyamic acid including a structural unit represented by chemical formula 1, polyimide including a structure unit represented by chemical formula 2, and a combination thereof. In the chemical formula 1 and 2, X^1 and X^2 respectively indicate a tetravalent organic group derived from aromatic acid dianhydride and alicyclic acid dianhydride, and Y^1 and Y^2 respectively indicate divalent organic radical derived from diamine.
