Abstract: A mail sorting system, according to an embodiment, is capable of facilitating the transfer of mail to a preset position on a cross belt. The provided embodiment includes: a cross belt drive unit which drives a motor linked with the cross belt to transfer mail to a distinctive destination; a detector which is arranged on a conveyor belt to transfer the mail onto the cross belt which outputs a detection signal which corresponds to at least one of the length of the mail and lateral position; and a control unit, based on the detection signal, delivers motor control signals, including at least one of a rotational velocity and the number of rotation of the motor, to the cross belt drive unit for the mail to be transferred to a preset position on the cross belt.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for linking mail address information between different letter sort machines and a system for the same are provided to link information obtained from different letter sort machines to apply the information to mail processing task process, thereby reducing mail classification work.
