Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling ISG logic are provided to stably start ISG vehicles by controlling engine RPM and the fluid pressure of a brake after an idle stop. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling ISG logic comprises a transmission unit, a driving unit, and a braking unit. The transmission unit displays the current state of a gear level of a vehicle, and controls the fluid pressure of a transmission during the re-staring or idle stop. If a brake pedal is turned on while the gear level is in a driving state, the driving unit performs the idle stop. If the brake pedal is turned off while the gear level is in the driving state, the driving unit re-starts an engine. The braking unit controls the behavior of the vehicle by controlling the fluid pressure of the brake. The transmission unit controls the auxiliary oil pump of the transmission in order to maintain the fluid pressure of the transmission.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for controlling the hill-start-assist-control(HAC) operation in case of restarting the engine of an auto transmission idle-stop-and-go(ISG) vehicle is provided to control the HAC according to situations. CONSTITUTION: The restarting operation of an engine and the operation of HAC are started based on an ISG system(S310, S315). The revolution per minute(RPM) of the engine is monitored. If the RPM of the engine satisfies the releasing condition of the HAC, the operation of the HAC is released(S320, S325, S33). Unless the RPM of the engine satisfies the releasing condition of the HAC, the operation of the HAC is kept. If the operation of the HAC is released, a verifying operation is implemented with respect to the acceleration of the vehicle. Unless the vehicle satisfies initial acceleration, the releasing condition of the HAC is changed(S335). The releasing condition of the HAC is stored in a memory device.

If an idle stop condition is satisfied, the blower system is operated by stopping an engine with an idle system and reducing the air volume of the blower(S33). The blower system is re-operated with the stored condition for the air conditioning if the temperature of an evaporator exceeds a threshold, or indoor temperature and the temperature of coolants are below each pre-set threshold(S36). The air volume of the blower is reduced based on the stored condition for the air conditioning.
