CONSTITUTION: In a gasoline direct injection engine(20) comprising intake and exhaust valves mounted to the upper part of a cylinder(23); intake and exhaust ports(24,25) being a passage for intake and exhaust gas; an injector for directly injecting fuel to the upper part of a piston formed at the side of the intake port; and a spark plug disposed to the upper part of the cylinder to ignite sparks, a structure for a combustion chamber of the engine is composed of a split wall(30) for splitting the middle part of the intake port into upper and lower passages(24a,24b) to differently regulate the strength of tumble to the operation range of the engine; a VCM valve(31) for opening and closing the lower passage of the intake port divided by the split wall to the operation range of the engine; and the piston for forming a wall guide bowl to the part colliding with the fuel sprayed from the injector and a flow guide bowl to the part flowing in the intake air at the intake port.

Abstract: A novel and improved method and apparatus for generating a reduced peak amplitude high data rate channel comprised of a set of lower rate channels is described. The set of lower rate channels (90, 92) are phase rotated before being summed and transmitted. The amount of phase rotation is dependent on the number of channels used to form the higher rate channel (102). In an embodiment wheretwo lower rate channels (90, 92) are used, the in-phase and quadrature-phase components of the two channels are complex multiplied (94, 96) before upconversion with an in-phase and quadrature-phase sinusoids. For a high rate channel comprised of more than two lower rate channels, the in-phase and quadrature-phase component of each channel is upconverted with a set of sinusoids that are phase offset from one another.

Abstract: A gasoline direct injection engine system is provided to enlarge a lean burn range by restricting injection fuel diffusion with tumble flow though a bowl piston and an upright intake port, and to increase output of the engine by cooling gas in a combustion chamber with evaporation heat of fuel owing to evenly supplying fuel and air to the combustion chamber. A gasoline direct injection engine system comprises an air supply unit supplying compressed air to an air rail(25) by regulating intake air and intake pressure, a fuel supply unit supplying fuel from a fuel tank(10) to a fuel rail(18) by compressing fuel and regulating pressure, and an injector connected to the air rail and the fuel rail to inject air mixed with fuel into each cylinder by mixing air with fuel. The air supply unit includes a throttle valve(21) regulating intake air to an engine, an air compressor compressing air through the throttle valve, and an air pressure limit valve regulating pressure of compressed air. The fuel supply unit comprises high and low pressure fuel pumps(11,14) compressing and supplying fuel, and first and second fuel pressure limit valves(12,15) limiting pressure of fuel compressed by the low and high pressure fuel pumps.
