Abstract: PURPOSE: An authentication control method for an immobilizer system of a vehicle in a low-voltage range is provided to prevent the unnecessary maintenance work due to the display of DTC(Diagnostic Trouble Code). CONSTITUTION: An authentication control method for an immobilizer system of a vehicle is as follows. The power source of a battery is detected. If the battery power is 9V or greater, an ECU and an immobilizer unit are normally operated and starts authentication. The immobilizer unit or the communications is determined as error in the authentication failure. If the battery power is 4.75~9V, the ECU does not discontinue authentication and continuously detects the battery power. If the battery power is over 9V, the authentication request is processed again.
