Abstract: PURPOSE: An LPI system for improving a charge ability and a control method thereof are provided to add an additional charging pressure toward a bombe through a pressure pump operating when an LPG fuel is supplied by controlling an operation of the pressure pump by an ECU using a signal whether charging or not delivered from a sensor. CONSTITUTION: An LPI system for improving a charge ability comprises a pressure pump(50), and a sensor(80). The pressure pump is mounted between a quick-coupling(40) installed at one end of a hose used in filling a fuel and an overcharge preventing valve(20) installed at a vicinity of a bombe(10) which stores an LPG fuel, and provides a charging pressure to the bombe. The sensor is mounted on an inlet port filter(60) for a charge fuel filtering installed at another end of the hose, and delivers a signal whether charging or not to an ECU(70). The ECU controls an operation of a pressure pump by using a delivered signal whether charging or not.
