    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily obtain the subject compound useful as an intermediate for resin modifier, etc., in high yield by reacting an isothiocyanic acid ester in the presence of a base under high pressure, thereby converting the compound into a physiologically active compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound of formula can be produced by reacting an isothiocyanic acid ester of formula RNCS (R is alkyl or aryl) in a polar solvent (e.g. DMF) in the presence of a tert-amine catalyst (e.g. triethylamine) and a trace amount of water under a pressure of 1,000-12,000kg/cm at room temperature to 100 deg.C for 1-50hr, distilling out the solvent from the reaction mixture and carrying out vacuum distillation and purification of the product.

    Abstract: NEW MATERIAL:A 2,6-bis(disubstituted amino)-4-dialkylthiocarbamoylimino-1,3,5- thiadiazine of formula I (R1 and R2 are each alkyl and may be linked to form a ring). EXAMPLE:2,6-bis(dimethylamino)-4-dimethylthiocarbamoylimino-1,3,-5-thi adiazine. USE:Useful for medicines, pesticides and as an intermediate. PREPARATION:A N,N-disubstituted cyanamide of formula II is reacted together with carbon disulfide at increased pressure to obtain the compound of the formula I. The molar ration of the compound of the formula II to the carbon disulfide is normally (1:10) - (10:1), although the stoichiometric molar ratio is 3:1. Higher pressure is preferable, but normally being 1,000 - 9,000atom. The reaction temperature is pref. 20 - 160 deg.C.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a new cyclic β-ketothioamide derivative having a chelating effect and a cyclic structure and useful as a separating agent or a recovering agent of a metal, a synthesis intermediate for various kinds of thioamide derivatives having substituted group at β-position, etc. SOLUTION: This cyclic β-ketothioamide derivative is represented by formula I (R is a hydrocarbon; A is a divalent hydrocarbon allowing O, S or N to intervene), e.g. N-methyl-3-oxo-ε-thiocaprolactam. The derivative of formula I is obtained by reacting a N-substituted lactam of formula II e.g. 1- methylpyrrolidin-2-one} with a bis(trialkylsilyl)thioketene of formula III (R , R and R are each an alkyl) and thereafter treating the reaction product with an alcohol.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To simply and efficiently obtain a β-thioloctam derivative useful as a physiologically active substance such as a penicillin-like antibiotic and as its synthetic intermediate by reacting dihydrofuran with an isothiocyanic acid ester which are easily available materials. CONSTITUTION: (A) An isothiocyanic acid ester of the formula: R-NCS (R is an alkyl, an aryl) and (B) 2,3-dihydrofuran preferably in a large excessive amount are subjected to an addition-cyclization reaction preferably under >=2000 atmospheric pressure (especially 2000-10000 atmospheric pressure) at 0-200 deg.C (especially 20-150 deg.C) usually for 1-50hrs. The reaction solvent includes an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent, an alicyclic hydrocarbon solvent and an aromatic hydrocarbon solvent.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To readily obtain a dithiazolium salt in good yield and one pot under relatively mild conditions by reacting an N,N-di-substituted thiourea with isothiocyanate in the presence of a strong base and then acidifying and oxidizing the reactional product. CONSTITUTION:(A) An N,N-di-substituted thiourea of formula I (R and R are each an organic group) is reacted with (B) an isothiocyanate of the formula R -N=C=S (R is an organic group) in the presence of a strongly basic alkali metal (compound) such as sodium hydroxide and then, the reactional product solution is acidified and oxidized using an oxidizing agent, e.g. m- chloroperbenzoic acid or hydrogen hydroxide to provide the objective 1,2,4- dithiazolium salt of formula II (X is an acid radical).

CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I [R1 is alkyl; R2-R4 are H, substituent; R5 is substituent; X is O, S, Ce, CR6R7, NR8 (R6-R8 are alkyl)] is reacted with a sultone compound under a high pressure of >=500 atmospheric pressure, especially >=2000 atmospheric pressure, to produce a compound of formula II (J is alkylene). Examples of the compound of formula I include 2- methylnaphtho[1,2-d]oxazole of formula III, 2-methylnaphtho[1,2-d]thiazole of material IV, and 2,4-dimethylbenzothiazole of formula V. The sultone compound is preferably 1,4-butane sultone. Examples of the compound of formula II include compounds of formulas VI-VIII. The quaternary salt of formula II is important as an intermediate for synthesizing photosensitive materials for photography, photosensitive dyestuffs, etc.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture a porous high dispersing metal catalyst of high performance by mixing an oxygen contained organic metal compound and easily reducing metal salt in the liquid of a polar compound having multidentate or crosslinking coordination power and then gelatinizing and heat treating said gel at low temperature. CONSTITUTION:Alcoxide such as gel aluminum and titanium, an oxygen contained organic metal compound such as a diketone compound and easily reducing metal salt such as copper, silver, iron or the like are mixed in polar compound contained solution having multidentate or crosslinking coordination power such as bivalent alcohol or amino at 10-200 deg.C. Then, the hydrolysis is carried out for the same and the whole of sol is gelatinized from uniform sol. Then, said gel is heat treated in reduced atmosphere after low temperature drying at 30-200 deg.C, to scatter a polar compound and reduce the reducing metal salt into metal. Thus, a metal catalyst highly dispersed in a multi-component non-crystalline metal oxide is manufactured, which forms the catalyst of high performance.
