    Abstract: A process for wrinkleproofing cellulosic textiles comprises treating the textiles with a finish and drying the treated textiles, wherein the finish comprises one or more water-soluble or water-dispersible hydrophobically modified polyethyleneimines and/or polyvinylamines. Suitable hydrophobically modified polyethyleneimines are hydrophobically modified homopolymers of ethyleneimine, hydrophobically modified graft polymers of polyamidoamines or of polyvinylamines. Suitable hydrophobically modified polyvinylamines are hydrophobically modified at least partially hydrolyzed homo- or copolymers of N-vinylcarboxamides. The polyethyleneimines and polyvinylamines can be crosslinked by polyfunctional crosslinking compounds, quaternized and/or modified by reaction with alkylene oxides, dialkyl carbonates, alkylene carbonates and/or C 1 -C 4 -carboxylic acids. Suitable hydrophobicizing reagents are selected from the group consisting of long-chain linear or branched linear carboxylic acids, linear or branched alkyl halides, alkyl epoxides, alkylketene dimers, cyclic dicarboxylic anhydrides, alkyl isocyanates and chloroformic esters of fatty alcohols.

    Abstract: An anticrease process for cellulose containing textiles involving treatment of the textiles with an anticrease agent followed by drying, where the anticrease agent contains one or more water soluble or water dispersible hydrophobically modified polyethyleneimine and/or polyvinylamine. Independent claims are included for: (1) a textile treatment anticrease finishing agent (AFA) containing (wt.%): (a) at least one hydrophobically modified polyethyleneimine and/or polyvinylamine as defined below (0.1-40); (b) silicone (0-30); (c) cationic and/or nonionic surfactant (0-30); (d) other constituents, e.g. wetting agent, plasticizer, lubricant, water soluble film forming and adhesive polymer, perfume, colorant, stabilizer, colorant protection additive, soil-release additive, corrosion protection additive, viscosity modifier, bactericide, preservative, and spraying aid (0-60); and (e) water (0-99.9),where the sum of (a) to (e) =100%; (2) a solid washing agent formulation containing (wt.%): (a) at least one hydrophobically modified polyethyleneimine and/or polyvinylamine as defined below (0.05-20); (b) silicone (0-20); (c) at least one nonionic and/or anionic surfactant (0.1-40); (d) inorganic builder (0-50); (e) organic cobuilder ( 0-10) (f) other conventional additives, e.g. adulterant, enzyme, perfume, complexing agent, corrosion inhibitor, bleaching agent, bleaching activator, cationic surfactant, bleaching catalyst, color transfer inhibitor, greying inhibitor, soil-release polyester, colorant, bactericide, dissolution adjuvant, and or sprinkling agent (sic), where the sum of (a) to (f) = 100%; (3) a liquid washing agent formulation containing (wt.%): (a) at least one hydrophobically modified polyethyleneimine and/or polyvinylamine as defined below (0.05-20); (b) silicone (0-20); (c) at least one cationic and/or nonionic surfactant (0.1-40); (d) inorganic builder (sic) (sic)(0-20); (e) organic cobuilding (sic)(0-10); (f) conventional additives, e.g. soda, enzyme, perfume, complexing agent, corrosion protection inhibitor, bleaching agent, bleaching activator, bleaching catalyst, cationic surfactant , color transfer inhibitor, greying inhibitor soil-release agent, colorant, bactericide, non-aqueous solvent, solvent aid, hydrotrope, thickener, and/or alkanolamine (0-60); and (g) water (0-99.9); (4) a wash care rinse agent containing (wt.%): (a) (a) at least one hydrophobic modified polyethyleneimine and/or polyvinylamine as defined below (0.05-40); (b) silicone (0-20); (c) at least one cationic surfactant (0.1-40); (d) a nonionic surfactant (0-30); (e) conventional additives, e.g. silicone, other lubricants, moistening aid, film forming polymer, perfume, colorant, stabilizers, fiber- and color protection additive, viscosity modifier, soil-release agent, corrosion inhibitor, bactericide, preservative (0-30); and (f) water (0-99.9).

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for isolating amines from aqueous solution s by means of continuous distillation of aqueous solutions of the amines according to a dual-pressure method for the rectification of aqueous solutio ns of amines forming an azeotrope with water, the composition of said azeotrope being pressure-dependent. The distillation is carried out in two columns und er different pressures. According to the inventive method, a) the pressure in t he second column is set at least 0.5 bar higher than the pressure in the first column, b) the aqueous amine solution is supplied to the first column in a side stream, and water and parts which boil at a higher temperature than the amines or are non-volatile are exfiltrated out of the bottom of the column, c) a mixture of amine and water is removed at the head of the first column and is guided into the second column in a side stream, d) an azeotrope of water and amine is removed at the head of the second column and is redirected into the first column, and e) the purified amines are extracted at the bottom of the second column.
