    Abstract: In the present invention, there are disclosed biologically degradable polyesters based on A/ 95 to 99.99 percent by mole of at least one polyester containing as monomeric building blocks a mixture of 20 to 95 percent by mole of at least one aliphatic or cycloaliphatic dicarboxylic acid or its ester-forming derivative and 5 to 80 percent by mole of at least one aromatic dicarboxylic acid or its ester-forming derivative, and at least one dihydroxy compound or at least one amino alcohol or their mixtures, and if need may be a compound containing two functional groups capable of reaction with acid, amino or hydroxyl end groups of polyester and B/ 0.01 to 5 percent by mole of a mixture comprising 45 to 80 percent by weight of at least one mononuclear isocyanurate or at least one compound that contains two functional groups and 13 to 25 percent by weight of at least one binuclear isocyanurate or at least one compound which contains three functional groups, 5 to 12 percent by weight of at least one trinuclear isocyanurate or at least one compound which contains four functional groups, and 2 to 18 percent by weight of at least one tetra- or higher-nuclear isocyanurate or mixtures of different isocyanurates or at least one compound containing four functional groups, whereby the above-indicated functional groups are capable of reacting with end groups of the polyester A.
