Abstract: Fillable, softener-containing aqueous polymer dispersion contains softener comprising at least one AB, ABA and/or BAB block copolymer with the blocks bonded either directly or via linking groups, where A is a hydrophobic or acidic block with a C-C main chain derived from (meth)acrylic acid and/or an aliphatic olefin or diene with 2-5C and B is a hydrophilic polyether block. Fillable, softener-containing aqueous dispersion of a polymer containing at least 30 wt.% monomers from 1-10C alkyl ester or nitrile of methacrylic and/or acrylic acid or the vinyl ester with a 2-12C monocarboxylic acid has a solids content of at least 20 wt.%. The softener is at least one AB, ABA and/or BAB block copolymer with the blocks bonded either directly or via linking groups, where A is a hydrophobic or acidic block with a C-C main chain derived from (meth)acrylic acid, 1-10C alkyl-(meth)acrylate, styrene, vinyl ester of a 2-12C monocarboxylic acid and/or an aliphatic olefin or diene with 2-5C and B is a hydrophilic polyether block derived from ethylene oxide (EO), propylene oxide (PO) and/or butylene oxide (BO).

Abstract: Radically initiated aqueous emulsion polymerisation process giving an aqueous polymer dispersion comprises emulsifying an ethylenically unsaturated group-containing compound(s) in aqueous medium using a dispersing agent and polymerising either using a radical polymerisation initiator in the presence of a stable N-oxyl radical(s) or using a compound(s) which decomposes on heating into a stable N-oxyl radical(s) and a radical polymerisation initiator. The emulsion obtained comprises droplets of diameter at most 500 nm and is polymerised by increasing the temperature. Also claimed are the obtained aqueous polymer dispersions.

Abstract: A process is disclosed for emptying hoses filled with viscous masses.
