Abstract: In the process, a mixture of bismaleimide and aminophenol is heated in the presence of an amine as addition catalyst and in the presence of an inhibitor, vinyl or allyl monomers and, if desired, epoxy resins and peroxide initiators are added, and the mixture, as a melt, is applied to reinforcing fibres. The prepregs and semifinished products can be cured to form composite materials for the automotive and aerospace industries.

Abstract: The invention describes a process for the production of cellular polyurethane elastomer mouldings having a predominantly closed cell structure by reacting NCO group-containing prepolymers having an NCO content of from 1.5 to 8, preferably prepared from organic polyiso cyanates and essentially linear, high-molecular-weight polyols in an NCO:OH ratio of from 1.3 to 2.5 and containing less than 3% by weight of free monomeric polyisocyanates, based on the total weight, with water, optionally in the presence of auxiliaries and/or additives, in closed moulds.

Abstract: The invention relates to fibre composites consisting of prepreg layers which are bonded to one another by intermediate layers. The prepreg layers consist of laid webs impregnated with curable resins. The intermediate layers contain regions of flexible polymer films which cover 10 to 90% of the surface of the prepreg layers. The polymer films are applied as an aqueous dispersion to the prepreg layers, and the layers are pressed after removal of the water. The composites are suitable as structural components for the aerospace industry and in the automotive industry.
