Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for separating at least one acid gas from a gas mixture, containing the step of bringing the gas mixture into contact with a porous metal-organic framework, the framework adsorbing the at least one acid gas, and the framework containing at least one at least bidentate organic compound coordinatively bonded to at least one metal ion, characterized in that the porous metal-organic framework is impregnated with an amine suitable for gas scrubbing. The invention further relates to such impregnated metal-organic frameworks.

Abstract: The invention relates to an absorbent for removing acid gases from a fluid flow, comprising an aqueous solution A) of at least one cyclic amine compound having exclusively tertiary amine groups and/or sterically hindered secondary amine groups, and B) of at least one cyclic amine compound having at least one sterically unhindered secondary amine group. The absorbent comprises, for example, an aqueous solution of A) 1-hydroxyethyl-piperidine and/or triethylenediamine and B) piperazine. The absorbent is suited especially for separating carbon dioxide from flue gases and meets the following criteria: (i) sufficient capacity at low CO2 partial pressures; (ii) sufficiently fast absorption speed at low CO2 partial pressures; (iii) stability toward oxygen; (iv) low vapor pressure in order to reduce solvent losses; and (v) low energy requirement for regenerating the absorbent.
