Abstract: PURPOSE: To perform the optimum cut-off adjustment of a CRT while maintaining the best or excellent spot diameter regardless of easy and small- sized constitution. CONSTITUTION: Since a single variable voltage is generated by a single variable resistor 30 for offset adjustment and two bias voltages (that is a G1 bias voltage and a G2 bias voltage) are changed under prescribed correlation based on the variable voltage, while maintaining the excellent spot diameter, the optimum cut-off adjustment of the CRT is performed.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prolong a service life of a CRT by detecting a state wherein no key input is done and reducing voltages applied to the heater element and cathode of a cathode-ray tube(CRT). CONSTITUTION: A control signal showing that there is no key input for a specific time is supplied from a personal computer 1 to a display device through a line 20. A bias circuit 8 reduces the voltage applied to the heater element 27 of the CRT 9 to lower the temperature of cathodes 22-24 from normal operation temperature by 7-30%. A video amplifying circuit 3 amplifies video signals of blue, green, and red supplied through the line 21 to respective specific voltages and applies them to the cathodes 22-24. At this time, the voltage level of the blue signal is shifted from a voltage level indicating the lowest luminance of a blue image by 5-25% and an anode current of 2-14 microamperes is supplied to display thin blue over the entire surface. Neither of images of green and red is displayed.

Abstract: To provide a liquid crystal display apparatus and computer apparatus allowin g power consumption to be effectively reduced. The refresh rate of an LCD panel is changed as th e brightness of the LCD panel changes. When the brightness of the LCD panel is decreased, the refres h rate is also decreased. In addition, whether the power source of the apparatus is AC or D C is determined based on whether an AC adapter is attached or not. When the DC power source is use d, the brightness and refresh rate of the LCD panel is lowered with respect to when the AC power source is used.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving display quality. SOLUTION: A gradation upper-limit value (n) and a gradation lower-limit value (m) displayed on the display screen of an LCD module are detected at specific intervals and the setting of a γcurve is remapped according to the range to dynamically remap a luminance distribution. Further, when the gradation upper-limit value (n) or gradation lower-limit value (m) increases, the peak value of the γ curve is immediately varied. When the gradation upper-limit value (n) or gradation lower-limit value (m) decreases, on the other hand, the peak value of the γ curve is varied on condition that the decrease lasts for a specific number of frames or more.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a liquid crystal display panel and an input tablet part detachable even when an equipment main body is powered ON. SOLUTION: The portable information processing equipment is equipped with a support means which supports a liquid crystal display panel part detachably from the equipment main body 1A, a detecting means for its attaching/detaching operation, and 1st and 2nd connectors 61 and 62 which connect the liquid crystal display panel part and equipment main body, and when the liquid crystal display panel part and equipment main body are separated, the 1st and 2nd connectors 61 and 62 are connected by a cable. Once the detecting means detects the liquid crystal display panel part being detached, the output of a video signal from the liquid crystal main body side to the liquid crystal display panel part is disabled to cut off electric supply to the liquid crystal panel part, and the equipment main body interrupts the operation of the whole system after saving data needed to restart the task, thereby storing the application execution contents right before the liquid crystal display panel part is detached.

The inclining mechanism separable from the body is a structure body formed in such a way that a base 22 that can be installed on OHP equipment, and a table 21 for placing the body thereon are rotatably journalled to each other. In the case of not using the inclining mechanism, the table 21 and the base 22 are closed into a compact form so as to be carried or enclosed.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To increase the kinds of identification signal which can be generated in a display device. CONSTITUTION: Selectors 14a-14d receive a vertical synchronizing signal through a line 25, and receive a frequency multiplication signal based on a horizontal synchronizing signal through a line 29. The output sides of the selectors 14a-14d are connected with four output lines 15a-15d assigned for the transmission of an identification signal. Each selectors 14a-14d includes a frequency-divider which frequency-divides the frequency multiplied signal, and generates plural frequency-division signals, and an open signal indicating an open state and a ground signal indicating a grounded state are generated inside. A control circuit 10 receives input information for designating the identification signal through a line 11, and applies a control signal corresponding to the input information through control lines 13a-13d to each selector 14a-14d. Each selector 14a-14d transmits any one of the vertical synchronizing signal, plural frequency- division signals, open signal, and ground signal to the corresponding output line as one signal element constituting the identification signal according to the control signal.
