Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white point adjustment device that can set a color temperature of a white point at a highest gradation and adjust the white point so that the color temperature at each gradation is almost constant. SOLUTION: The white point adjustment device that adjusts an achromatic color level to an input video signal consisting of chrominance signals and allows a liquid crystal display module 30 to display an adjusted image, is provided with a 1st table 46 that is used to set a white point by deciding an offset from the highest gradation of at least one chrominance signal by each color temperature, a 2nd table 47 that is used to set the offset of the chrominance signal to converge the white point at a medium gradation by each color temperature set by the 1st table 46, and a white point adjustment section 40 that adds the offset set by the 1st table 46 and the 2nd table 47 to the input video signal.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which a user can fold and store or carry when not in use. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a pedestal 11, which has a planar pedestal main body 12 which is to be placed on an object and a planar arm 13 which is erected at a prescribed angle on the pedestal main body 12, and a display part 2 which is attached to the arm in a swingable manner and has a picture display part. The swing angle of the display part 2 can be arbitrarily set with the center of gravity of the display part 2 within the range of the projection face of the pedestal 11. The pedestal main body 12 and the arm 13 can constitute a single plane, and they are rotated in this state so as to face the display part 2 in parallel, and thus the display part 2 is protected.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a flicker of an LCD, i.e., a large problem to a wire-frame model that a user sees. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with an input part 27 which inputs a video signal from a host side, a frame buffer 22 which stores the last luminance level of the inputted video signal, and a graph-base table 26 which stores luminance levels found from characteristics of a liquid crystal cell 32 by correspondence between the last luminance level and the next luminance level of a next video signal inputted to the input part 27, and equipped with an addition correction part 25 which determines an output luminance level for nearly equalizing the time integral quantity of luminance variation to the ideal quantity of light at stationary time and a liquid crystal control circuit 31 which drives the liquid crystal cell 32 displaying an image according to the output luminance level.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To drive a liquid crystal panel without causing any flickering in pictures no producing any noise. CONSTITUTION: Analog signals (R) are inputted to sample-and-hold circuits SH through an amplifier 14. The voltage values of the analog signals held by the corresponding sample-and-hold circuits SH1,..., SH(n/2) when the first-half clock signal is inputted are outputted to the sample-and-hold circuit SH(n/2+1) after the voltage values are added to each other by means of an adder 16 and the sum is divided by 'n/2' by means of a divider 18. The voltage values of the analog signals held by the corresponding sample-and-hold circuits SH(n/2+2),... SH(n+1) when the second-half clock signal is inputted are outputted to the sample-and-hold circuit SH(n+2) after the voltage values are added to each other by means of an adder 16' and the sum is divided by 'n/2' by means of a divider 18'. The outputs from the circuits SH(n/2+1) and SH(n+2) are added to each other by means of an adder 24 and the sum is divided by '2' by means of a divider 26. A driver circuit applies a voltage across the corresponding electrodes of a liquid crystal panel in accordance with the output of the divider 26.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To drive a liquid crystal panel without generating a flicker or noise on a screen. CONSTITUTION: An adding circuit 26 adds a noise component of an analog signal detected by a filter 24 to a reference voltage from a power source 16 and a phase adjusting circuit 28 adjusts the phase of the reference voltage to which the noise component is added. A circuit 12 holds the analog signal and outputs it to comparators 14a-14n. The reference voltage from the circuit 28 is divided by resistances 18a-18n and outputted as threshold voltages TVa- TVn to the comparators 14a-14n. The comparators 14 compares the inputted analog signal with the voltages TV and outputs a specific signal to an encoder 20 when the analog signal is larger than the voltages TV. The encoder 20 digitizes the signals from the comparators 14 and applies them to electrodes of the liquid crystal panel.
