    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable effective security in a combination state by placing a security selection switch of the extension unit, coupled with a notebook type PC, at a given position and locking a cable lock to a slot. SOLUTION: A security select slide knob 10 provided on the bottom surface of the extension unit 2 has three select positions. When the knob 10 is slid from a 1st select position indicating a free position to a 2nd select position, release buttons 6 and 7 of bays 4 and 5 are fixed to disable subsystems put in the bays to be taken out. To protect both the PC 1 and extension unit 2, the PC 1 is coupled with the extension unit 2 and the knob 10 is set at a 3rd selection position; and then the release buttons 6 and 7 are fixed, an injection lever 3 is also fixed, and the cable lock is fitted to an security slot 9 to couple the extension unit 2 integrally with the subsystems, thereby protecting the whole with the PC 1 which can not be separated.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a superior battery fitting mechanism by providing a restraint release prohibiting part for attaching the restraining part of a battery pack to the side wall of a battery containing part and for prohibiting the release of the restraining part by means of the operation of a depth direction. SOLUTION: A recessed part 12 for attaching the restraining part 20 and the restraining release prohibiting part 30 is formed on the side wall B of a battery containing part 10. The restraining part 20 is provided with an activation for restraining the battery pack under fitting and the restraining release prohibiting part 30 is provided with the activation for prohibiting the release of a restraining state by the restraining part 20. When the battery pack is removed, the head part of the restraining release prohibiting part 30 is grabbed and, then, drawn in the reverse depth direction of the battery containing part 10. Though the latch of the restraining part 20 is normally energized in a direction for restraining the battery pack, the action of the direction for releasing restraining is permitted in a position where the restraining release prohibiting part 30 is operated in the reverse depth direction so that the restraining state of the battery pack is released by the operation in the restraining release direction.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To be housed in the main body of PC at the time of not using an antenna and to sufficiently show a function as an antenna. CONSTITUTION: At the time of not communicating, an analog circuit board 56 is housed in a housing 30 fixed to a housing part 24. At this time a cover 74 closes down a housing port 40 to prevent dust from entering the main body. At the time of drawing a drawer from the housing port 40 in the case of communication, an analog circuit board 56 with a pole antenna can be drawn together. As the pole antenna is positioned just over the bottom plate of the drawer as a ground plane and the cover of the circuit board 56, the antenna sufficiently shows the function as an antennae. In addition by drawing the circuit board 56 from the main board 12, heat can be wasted.
