    Abstract: PURPOSE: To enable the selection of either built-in DAA or external DAA and to miniaturize MODEM board. CONSTITUTION: A hybrid circuit 14 connected to a MODEM circuit 12 and a built-in DAA 24 are mounted on a MODEM board. These hybrid circuit 14 and the built-in DAA 24 are respectively connected to an interface connector 18. When a plug subcard 26 equipped with a MiniDin connector 28 is inserted into this interface connector 18, an external DAA 32 and the MODEM circuit 12 are connected through the hybrid circuit 14 on the MODEM board. When another plug subcard equipped with an RJ11 connector is inserted, the built-in DAA 24 is connected through the hybrid circuit 14 to the MODEM circuit 12. Thus, communication due to analog signals corresponding to either the built-in DAA 24 or the external DAA 32 is allowed.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a portable computer device of which the height and the angle of a display part can be adjusted even the rear space of an installation place is restricted. SOLUTION: With respect to a note type PC 10, a hinge 36 which makes an LCD unit 24 turnable around an axial line of turning which is orthogonal to the vertical direction of the LCD unit 24 is provided approximately in the middle position in the vertical direction of the LCD unit 24 arranged on a cover body 16. The hinge 36 is attached to a slide plate 30 and can be moved in the vertical direction relative to a frame 18 of the cover body 16 and is arranged in a position higher than the frame 18. Thus the height and angle of the LCD unit 24 can be adjusted though restrictions are placed on the rear space of the place where the note type PC 10 is installed, and it is so set that the display picture can be easily seen.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce a space for installing components by adding engaging means to a rocking means operated at the time of loading/unloading operation so as to surely load an equipment within a main body. CONSTITUTION: At the time of loading the equipment usable for an information processor (an HDD pack, e.g.) 38 within the main body of the information processor, the equipment 38 is held by a holding means. Next, the locking means 64 of the equipment 38 is operated under this state to rock the rocking means 64 to be engaged with the engaging means 72 and 74. As the result of this effect, the equipment 38 is surely loaded within the main body. At the time of unloading the equipment 38 from the main body, on the other hand, the rocking means 64 is rocked in a direction opposite to that at the time of the rocking operation to release the engaging state of the rocking means 64 and the engaging means 72 and 74. Thereby the number of the points of parts is reduced to reduce the space for installing the parts.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer which can realize performance essential for each unit such as communication performance, portability at the time of carrying the computer and availability in a state where it is put in a bag and which can be loaded with an option unit that can easily be attached/detached to/from the computer. SOLUTION: The computer can be loaded with an option unit such as a unit containing a radio LAN adapter. As the objective computer, a computer constituted of a computer main body, a display device and a keyboard or a notebook-sized computer 2 constituted of a computer main body provided with a keyboard and a display device acting as a cover that can freely be opened/ closed with respect to the computer main body is used. In the computer provided with such option unit 14, the option unit 14 is loaded onto the display device 11 attachably and detachably or the option unit is detachably loaded onto the computer at a place being the side of the display device when the cover is closed and at a place being the upper part of the display device when the cover is opened.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment with a favorable structure have a cover that can minimize destruction or damage of a flat display even if an excessive load is applied on the upper surface of the cover at the closing position. SOLUTION: A pair of a first and a second engaging parts to be engaged at the closing position are provided at the right and left ends of the equipment main body 10 and the cover 50. The engaging parts are a combination of short filament protrusions 71 and 72 provided on the cover 50 side and slits 81 provided at corresponding positions on the main body 11 side. The slits 81 have a shape and measurement enough to fit the short filament protrusions 71 and 72. At the closing position, the filament protrusions 71 and 72 are inserted into the slits 81 so that longitudinal displacement of the cover 50 against the equipment main body 10 is strictly prevented. Even if an excessive load is applied onto the top of the cover 50, each engaging part generates a drag toward the inside against a rib that buckles and tries to expand toward the outside. Consequently, such phenomenon that the rib 55 slides down to expand toward the outside and the gap between the upper surface of the equipment main body and the key top is narrowed is avoided to maximum.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a superior battery fitting mechanism by providing a restraint release prohibiting part for attaching the restraining part of a battery pack to the side wall of a battery containing part and for prohibiting the release of the restraining part by means of the operation of a depth direction. SOLUTION: A recessed part 12 for attaching the restraining part 20 and the restraining release prohibiting part 30 is formed on the side wall B of a battery containing part 10. The restraining part 20 is provided with an activation for restraining the battery pack under fitting and the restraining release prohibiting part 30 is provided with the activation for prohibiting the release of a restraining state by the restraining part 20. When the battery pack is removed, the head part of the restraining release prohibiting part 30 is grabbed and, then, drawn in the reverse depth direction of the battery containing part 10. Though the latch of the restraining part 20 is normally energized in a direction for restraining the battery pack, the action of the direction for releasing restraining is permitted in a position where the restraining release prohibiting part 30 is operated in the reverse depth direction so that the restraining state of the battery pack is released by the operation in the restraining release direction.

SOLUTION: In a state such that a hinge 64, a heat pipe 79, and a radiating plate 80 are assembled to a display part 44, a load working on the hinge 64 and display part 44 from the outside is supported by a sleeve member 76, and it does not work directly on the heat pipe 79 and a part projecting from the hinge 64 of the heat pipe 79 is covered with the sleeve member 76. When a hinge 62, a heat pipe 58, and a heat sink 54 are assembled to a main body 42, the heat pipe 58 is supported by the hinge 62, chassis 56 and heat sink 54, so that a load working on the display part 44 and main body 42 does not work directly on the heat pipe 58.
