CONSTITUTION:This cosmetic contains (A) 0.001 to 10wt.% (preferably, 0.001 to 5wt.%) betaine (preferable example; glycinebetaine) and (B) 0.01 to 40wt.% (preferably, 0.5 to 20wt.%) silicone [e.g. dimethylpolysiloxane of the formula [(a) is an integer of >=3]]. The cosmetic can be formed in any form of, e.g. emulsion type, dispersion type, two layer type and solubilization type.

The waste soln. from such as soln. does not cause environmental pollution unlike a chromating soln.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic having a high carbon dioxide-holding property, persisting a blood circulation-stimulating effect, improving the drabness of skin, etc., free from a slimy touch and giving an excellent touch by controlling the viscosity of the cosmetic to a specific value and maintaining the carbon dioxide concentration of the cosmetic at a specific value for a specified time, when extruded. SOLUTION: This cosmetic containing carbon dioxide has a viscosity of 100-500,000 mPa.s at 25 deg.C and maintains the concentration of carbon dioxide at >=60 ppm for 15 min, after extruded. In order to maintain the concentration of the carbon dioxide, preferably a pH-adjusting agent such as citric acid or phosphoric acid is added to the cosmetic to control the pH of the cosmetic to =6.0×10 g/cm .

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of stabilizing processability and aging in production and preventing aging of pack layer after forming a sheet-like pack by constituting the composition of a crosslinking type water- containing gel containing high purity poly(meth)acrylic acids, water and a crosslinking agent. SOLUTION: This pack composition comprises (A) high-purity poly(meth) acrylic acids in which residual monomer amount is reduced to =30 wt.%, preferably 40-80 wt.% water and (C) a crosslinking agent (e.g. a water-soluble salt of calcium chloride or magnesium chloride) in an amount of 0.01-5 equivalent, preferably 0.1-2 equivalent based on 1 equivalent crosslinkable part of the poly(meth)acrylic acid. The sheet-like pack composition comprising a crosslinking type water-containing gel and obtained by the above method is used by impregnating or applying the composition onto a base fabric of nonwoven fabric or the like.
