Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a method for fractionating a sucrose fatty acid ester having a specific composition from a reaction mixture of sucrose fatty acid esters by a simple operation without using an organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:Sucrose fatty acid esters composed of a mixture of [SME], [SDE] and [SPE] ([SME] is a sucrose fatty acid ester having 1 ester exchange degree, [SDE] is a sucrose fatty acid ester having 2 ester exchange degree and [SPE] is a sucrose fatty 7 acid ester having >=3 ester exchange degree) are mixed with fats and oils under heating and the prepared heated mixture is incorporated with water to extract a sucrose fatty acid ester having high [SME] content. The prepared water phase and the oil phase are separated to give a sucrose fatty acid ester having high [SME] content and sucrose fatty acid esters having high [SDE] and [SPE] contents.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To readily obtain the high-purity compound with a low content of orthophosphoric acid without converting a reactional product into a high- viscosity gelatinous substance by reacting P2O5 with a phosphorylating agent such as phosphoric acid and an organic hydroxy compound according to a specified method. CONSTITUTION:This method for producing a phosphoric monoester is to initially mix P2O5 with a phosphorylating agent selected from phosphoric acid and polyphosphoric acid, an organic hydroxy compound and water so as to provide water including nH2O when the phosphorylating agent is expressed as P2O5.nH2 O in a molar amount of 0.5-1.5 times based on 1mol phosphorylating agent and the organic hydroxy compound in a molar amount of 0.4-1mol based on 1mol phosphorylating agent, then react the resultant mixture and subsequently add the organic hydroxy compound to the resultant product in a state satisfying conditions of the formula [A is the number of mol of the phosphorylating agent expressed in terms of P2O5 in the step; B is the number of mol of water including nH2O when the phosphorylating agent is expressed as P2O5.nH2O] and carry out the reaction.

SOLUTION: The method for purifying the glyceryl ether is a method for purification comprising using a distillation column having a structure in which the central part of the column is divided into two distillation parts. The method for purification is carried out as follows. The crude glyceryl ether containing the specific glyceryl ether and a lower-boiling component and a high-boiling component having a different boiling point from that of the glyceryl ether as impurities is fed to one of the divided distillation parts in the central part of the column and separated into a fraction (a) containing the low-boiling component, a fraction (b) containing the high-boiling component and the purified glyceryl ether. Furthermore, the purified glyceryl ether is separated from the other divided distillation part.
